LUIS HORA REGIONAL HOSPITAL, BAUKO– With the aim of promoting mother and child care programs, the Provincial Government of Mountain Province awarded Baby Girl Yhalina P. Andrada as Golden Healthy Baby of Mountain Province in the Search for Golden Healthy Baby 2017 in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the province and the 13th Lang-ay Festival.
Baby Yhalina was delivered at exactly 12:25 in the morning of April 7, 2017 at Luiz Hora Regional Memorial Hospital (LHRMC), Bauko, Mountain Province.
The winner was given a Certificate of Recognition and a cash incentive of twenty thousand pesos (Php 20,000.00) from the provincial government.
The baby is the third child of Mr. Jobel Andrada and Ms. Claire Pablo, both farmers and residents of Pactil, Monamon Sur, Bauko.
As of this writing, Baby Yhalina was followed by Baby Girl Jiverlyn D. Buyayo, who was born at the same hospital at exactly 5:31 AM. She is the daughter of Mr. Danny Buyayo and Ms. Thomasa Sugando of Guinzadan Sur, Bauko.
The award is given to the earliest baby born on April 7, 2017 on the following criteria: single or twin delivery, normal spontaneous delivery birth weight of 2.5 kilogram and above, facility based delivery, birth attended by skilled birth attendant, the mother completed the four (4) prenatal visits and at least with TT2 at current pregnancy, with mother and child book, mother not hypertensive.
The search was disseminated to all hospitals and other health accredited facilities and done from 12:01 AM to 9:00 AM of the same day. The earliest time of delivery reported by the chief of the health facilities shall be the winner.
In an interview with the Head Secretariat of the 50th Founddation Anniversary and Lang-ay Festival 2017 through Roger U. Sacyaten, he said that the provincial government thought of recognizing the Golden Healthy Baby as one of the activities in observance of the twin significant events of the province.** Alfred F.
