The provincial government here has a new provincial administrator.
Governor Bonifacio Lacwasan, Jr designated Johnny N. Co as the Provincial Administrator effective January 06, 2020.
The former administrator, Atty. Amador P. Batay-an, resigned effective January 02, 2020 for health reasons. He has served the province for more than three years.
Co, who is also the Internal Auditor of the province, had also served as an officer in-charge capacity years ago prior to the assumption of Atty. Batay-an, will be serving as the Provincial Administrator until the designation order is revoked or rescinded.
He is not new to the position as he has served intermittently during the time of former governor Leonard Mayaen and before the assumption of Atty. Batay-an.
Personnel order No. 76, s. 2020 dated January 06, 2020, states that Co has the following functions, in addition to being the Provincial Internal Auditor, of signing documents relative to purchase requests and purchase orders for supplies and materials, repair and maintenance of vehicles and other equipment in the amount of fifty thousand (P50,000.00) and below,
He is authorized also to sign payrolls and vouchers covering the salaries of employees, travel orders of heads and assistant heads of offices and the municipal mayors, among others.
