Mr. Marquez presented, in the local language, the regional development framework that aims to improve people's lives, boost the economy, and create an enabling environment through responsive and inclusive governance, climate action and disaster risk reduction, sustainable infrastructure, and culture-sensitive governance and development.
He emphasized the development strategies that benefit the youth sector and identified areas where they can actively engage and participate as partners in regional development. Relating
this to the event, he elaborated that regional autonomy is integrated in the plan and is important in achieving inclusive and sustainable development in the region.
Recognizing the youth's pivotal role in shaping the region's present and future, he urged the young adults to persist in voicing their perspectives and actively engage with various sectors and stakeholders.
The Regional Development Council Cordillera (RDC-CAR) oversees the implementation of the CAR RDP 2023-2028. It serves as a venue for stakeholders to provide relevant policies and push development projects to attain its outcomes and goals toward the attainment of socioeconomic transformation for a prosperous, inclusive, and resilient Cordillera.
