KIANGAN, Ifugao, – – The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) approved seven irrigation projects for this town to be implemented within the year to help solve the water supply problem of farms in some barangays of this town.
NIA-Ifugao Provincial Director Jones Dulnuan wrote a letter dated December 28, 2018 informing Mayor Joselito Guyguyon about the approval of the projects under the Balikatan Sagip Patubig Program (BSPP) with a total cost of P9,880,000.00.
He requested the Sangguniang Bayan of Kiangan to pass a resolution authorizing the mayor to enter into a memorandum of agreement with the NIA to facilitate the implementation of the projects.
The approved irrigation projects are the Longa Communal Irrigation System of Barangay Nagacadan worth P500,000.00, the Likkod Small Impounding Project (SIP) of Munggayang costing P1,170,000.00, Ambangal SIP also of Munggayang amounting to P2,500,000.00, Dalili SIP of Tuplac worth P1, 650,000.00, Mabbin SIP of Bolog costing P2,000,000.00, Ahin SIP also of Bolog worth P1,000,000.00 and the Ingagahu SIP of Bokiawan.** JDP/DBC- PIA CAR, Ifugao
