On our 30th anniversary, the challenges we face are as daunting as ever. While survival remains the most important in the short term, our vision has to be laid out for the long term.
The world is now being turned upside down by technological and political changes, and media in various forms will continue to evolve as new ones are spawned. For more than ever the need for news will continue to grow.
Our rightful place there has now to be answered. It will settle the issue whether or not we will have the right to exist. We must have guessed well enough the past three decades, but will the dice end up good enough this time around?
There will not be much change on how the people will be struggling in order to cope. Perhaps those who can provide the news and information for them to be competent in making the right choices will be favored.
Those who can provide the right choices will be favored. Quite simple to say but always so difficult to satisfy in reality. So as we embark on a new decade we can only say we will try. At the very least, we will be there with you when difficult choices will have to be made.
You will have to be there with us though all the time for you to be informed enough at critical forks on the road. Otherwise, you would not be competent enough in choosing which way to take. So be there with us always.**
