On behalf of the Agasen and Maraneg family, may we request the public and the media to show some respect on the ongoing investigation surrounding the incident that transpired on November 24, 2024, leading to the untimely death of Luke Agasen Maraneg.
The family would want to emphasize that the investigation into this matter is still ongoing. Extensive efforts are being exerted by authorities to uncover the truth behind the incident thus, any information suggesting conclusions is purely speculative and not based on verified facts.
Recently, numerous unverified details and theories concerning the circumstances of said incident were published, shared, and now circulating on different social media platforms. The family of Mr. Maraneg has not authorized any media outlet to represent their views, nor have they been approached for input on any news coverage circulating online. Thus, any narratives and conclusions made thereon are built on assumptions without substantial evidence.
We appeal to the public and the media to show some respect on the ongoing investigation especially to the family of Mr. Maraneg. Please refrain from spreading unverified information that could mislead the public and cause further harm. Let us please show compassion and integrity during this time of mourning.
May we be reminded that posting and sharing these unverified details or premature conclusion tarnishes the reputation of the deceased and shows blatant disrespect and unnecessary pain and suffering to his family and loved ones.
