BAGUIO CITY (PIA) — The Philippine Military Academy formally welcomed 342 fourth class cadets during this year’s Incorporation Rites at the Fort Del Pilar on August 8, 2026, amid the inclement weather.
They compose the PMA Class of 2030 with the class name “MASIKLAB LAHI” (Mandirigmang Simbolo ng Katapangan at Lakas para sa Bayan ng Lahing Hinirang).
The 342 cadets, consisting of 266 males and 76 females, were incorporated into the Cadet Corps Armed Forces of the Philippines after successfully completing their more than two months of New Cadet Battalion training, where they were introduced to the fundamentals of military life, discipline, customs and traditions, military values, physical conditioning, character development, and basic military knowledge and skills.
PMA Superintendent Lt. Gen. Michael Logico congratulated the cadets and reminded them that Incorporation marks the beginning of greater responsibilities as members of the Corps.
“From this day forward, you will no longer be judged solely by what you can endure, but by the standards you uphold, the example you set, and the honor with which you wear this uniform,” Logico said.
The Incorporation Rites represent a defining milestone in every cadet’s journey. They cease to be trainees under the New Cadet Battalion and officially become members of the Cadet Corps Armed Forces of the Philippines, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the upper class corps.
Along with this transition comes a greater responsibility to uphold the PMA’s standards of honor, discipline, leadership, and military professionalism as they continue their four-year transformation into future officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The Incorporation Rites was graced by PMA officials, military officers, faculty members, personnel, parents, and other guests.
According to the PMA Public Affairs Office, from the more than 33,640 applicants who took the PMA Entrance Examination in 2025, 1,436 passed the written examination. After undergoing psychological, physical, medical, and neuropsychiatric evaluations, 365 outstanding candidates were admitted on Reception Day on May 23, 2026. Only 342 successfully made it to the incorporation rites. **JDP/RMC- PIA-CAR / PMA-PAO
