Another Drug Trader Falls in Baguio
Another drug pusher was arrested by anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Cordillera earlier today in a sting operation at Kayang-Hilltop, Baguio City.
Darwin Turqueza Dariano, 43 years old, single and resident of the same barangay was collared for selling a heat-sealed transparent sachet containing suspected shabu to a PDEA operative.
Upon his arrest, Dariano yielded two more sachets of suspected shabu and the P2,000 buy-bust money.
The suspect, who is now detained at the Baguio City Jail, is now facing a criminal case for violation of the provisions of Republic Act Number 9165 otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002”.
Theft
On November 14, 2017 at around 4:30 PM, a case of theft transpired along Upper Session Road, Baguio City in front of a Western Union branch. The victim was identified as Gabriel Rulloda De Guzman, 21 years old, single, teacher, native and resident of No.30 Paterno St., South Drive, Baguio City while the suspect was identified as Bryant Goyagoy Ambola, 35 years old, married, foreman, native of Tabuk, Kalinga and resident of No. OD 541 Banig, Tawang, La Trinindad, Benguet.
Investigation disclosed that the victim was walking along Upper Session Road and momentarily stopped in front of Western Union to close his umbrella. His Vivo 5s cellphone was inside his pocket as he was in the process of placing his umbrella in his backpack. After zipping his backpack and was about to get his phone, he was surprised that it was gone. The victim looked around and saw the suspect who subsequently returned his cellphone. PNP personnel who were patrolling the area saw the incident and immediately apprehended the suspect.
Attempted robbery with violence
On November 14, 2017 at around 7:20 PM, a case of attempted robbery transpired at Motorpool, Camp Allen, Baguio City and was the subject matter of a complaint by Island Nidera Maristela, 49 years old, single, vendor and presently residing at #B147 Prk. 1, Motorpool, Camp Allen, Baguio City against Raymond Mabitazan Juanbe, 25 years old, single, jobless and presently residing at Tollgate Camp 6, Tuba Benguet.
Investigation disclosed that the victim was walking along the road of Camp Allen, Baguio City from the Baguio City Public Market, when somebody covered her mouth and mauled her as he tried to get her sling bag containing her cellphone and money amounting to Php1,740.00. The suspect could not get the bag because it was hung on the victim’s neck and was held firmly. When the suspect saw an approaching taxi, he ran towards Motorpool, Camp Allen. Bystanders at the nearby store saw the incident that prompted them to run after the suspect and arrested him.
Acts of lasciviousness
On November 14, 2017 at about 3:00 PM, Krizele Joyce Bagiw Jallorina, 18 years old, single, Grade 12 student of Hapid National High School and resident of Landing Hapid, Lamut, Ifugao was accompanied by her mother, Dolores Bagiw Jallorina and reported to Lamut MPS that on or about 7:30 PM of November 7, 2017 in Landing, Hapid, Lamut, Ifugao, she was molested by Jerry Mar Bingit Ineja, 18 years old, caretaker and resident of Sanafe, Lamut, Ifugao.
Investigation disclosed that the victim was on her way home when she heard a person behind her. The suspect who was under the influence of liquor embraced and covered her mouth but she struggled until they fell on the grassy ground. The suspect ran away but the victim recognized the suspect. On November 9, 2017, both parties had a confrontation at the barangay hall of Hapid, Lamut, Ifugao. The suspect admitted that he was the one who held and embraced the victim but no settlement was arrived at because the victim wanted to pursue the case in court. The victim is under the custody of her parents while the suspect is at large.
Ecstasy dealer arrested in Baguio
A female dealer of ecstasy capsules was arrested past midnight of Thursday in front of a hotel along Kisad Road, Baguio City by anti-narcotics agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Cordillera.
Cherry (not her real name), 18 years old and a resident of Malate, Manila was cuffed when she sold the party drugs worth P50,000 to an undercover PDEA agent.
The suspect yielded 15 suspected ecstasy capsules, 25 tablets of Diazepam Valium and four syringes with suspected liquid dangerous drugs. The items were neatly placed in two boxes of cupcakes.
The young dealer, who is now detained at the Baguio City Jail, is now facing a criminal case for violation of the provisions of Republic Act Number 9165 otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002”.
