Robbery with FUT
On November 26, 2017 at about 9:00AM, a cell phone call was received by Buguias MPS from Ms. Jonalyn Paterno, employee of Petron Gasoline Station, Bekes, Buyacaoan, Buguias, Benguet stating that their office was robbed. Immediately, the investigator on duty responded.
Investigation disclosed that the suspect detached the sliding window glass of the office in front, then used it as entrance and exit. The cash vault installed at the adjacent room was forcibly opened. The amount of more or less Php300,000.00 allegedly kept in the vault was missing. Upon assessment, the responding police investigator accounted for all the personnel of the gasoline station except for a certain Bryan Mariano. The IOC verified and discovered that he was not in their boarding house and his personal belongings were gone.
Further investigation disclosed that Bryan Mariano was positively identified by Ms. Paterno as the same person on the CCTV footage who was seen inside the office around 11:30 PM of November 25, 2017. Case is for further investigation.
Adultery
On November 24, 2017 at about 5:30 AM, at Sitio Bagabag, Buringal, Paracelis, Mtn. Province joint personnel of Alfonso Lista MPS, Paracelis MPS, RID PROCOR arrested Mabel B. Ambuyao, 40, married, farmer, and a resident of Sitio Mabullog Bantay, Paracelis, Mtn. Province. He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Jesse Haris B. Namujhe of the 3rd Branch of the MCTC of Alfonso Lista, Ifugao for the crime of Adultery docketed as Criminal Case No. lll-17-919 with a recommended bail bond of Php12,000.00.
He was brought to Alfonso Lista MPS for documentation and subsequently turned over to the issuing court for proper disposition.
Frustrated murder
On November 26, 2017 at about 7:20 AM, a case of Frustrated Murder was reportthe ed to Kabugao MPS by Ireneo Litawa, father in-law of the victim that happened around 9:30 PM of November 25, 2017 at Sitio Magawad, Brgy Karagawan, Kabugao, Apayao. The victim was identified as Blademir Collado Eppag, 32, married, farmer. The suspects were Rico Udlao Eppag, of legal age, uncle of the victim, married, farmer and Ricky Eppag, son of Rico Eppag, of legal age, both rpents at the place of incident.
Investigation disclosed t athat around 9:00 PM of November 25, 2017, while the victim was on his way home, he noticed tht his flashlight was “on low battery” which prompted him to shout for help. Allegedly, his uncle, Rico Eppag suddenly appeared armed with a bolo together with his son, Ricky Eppag, who was holding a homemade shotgun. After which, his uncle without any apparent reason unleashed his bolo and hit the back of the victim 3 times while his son was pointing the shotgun at him. Rico Eppag tried to hack again the victim but the latter was able to block it with his right hand which resulted in the amputation of his right middle and ring fingers. Thereafter, Adrian Eppag and Alex Eppag pacified the suspects who then fled.
At around 4:30 AM of November 26, 2017, the victim was brought to Conner District Hospital. The victim suffered three hack wounds on his back and amputated right middle and ring fingers. Responding PNP personnel of Kabugao MPS conducted a manhunt operation but the result was negative.
Theft (Salisi)
At about 5:30 AM of November 27, 2017 a case of theft transpired at AD 120-D, Central Buyagan, La Trinidad Benguet as complained by Merlie Oyad Landocan, of legal age, Executive Service Officer of BENECO.
Investigation disclosed that unidentified suspect/s gained entry through the unlocked back door of the room of the victim and while inside took the following:
a) Issued laptop by Beneco;
b) Macbook worth Php90,000.00;
c) Del Laptop worth Php70,000.00;
d) Apple Cellphone worth Php20,000.00;
e) DBP ATM card;
f) Two external Hard Drives; and
g) Four flash drives.
The total amount of the missing items is more or less Php180,000.00. Case is under investigation.
Attempted parricide
At about 10:00 PM of November 26, 2017, Barangay Kagawad Jose Pumihic Jr. of Magulon, Lamut, Ifugao informed Lamut MPS thru cellphone call that they apprehended one Alex Nammog Pundao Jr, 30, jobless and resident of Solang, Magulon, Lamut, Ifugao for attempting to stab his father, Alex Yoyot Pundao Sr, 67 years old, farmer and resident of same place using a knife and sharpening tools.
Investigation disclosed that the suspect was allegedly drunk on the morning of same date and asking money from his father who refused to give it. At around 9:00 in the evening, the suspect arrived under the influence of liquor and again asked for money but was denied until he took a knife and sharpening tools and tried to stab his father at the kitchen. The victim evaded and grabbed the knife but the suspect tried to stab him again using the sharpening tools on his other hand but hit the wall. The victim managed to escape and sought help from the barangay officials who arrested the suspect and later turned him over to responding PNP personnel. Case for referral to the Provincial Prosecutors Office, Lagawe, Ifugao.
