PDEA still looking for agents
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency is still looking for Drug Enforcement Officers who will augment the lean manpower of the agency in the war against drugs.
Those who are interested should be Baccalaureate Degree holders; Civil Service eligible (Civil Service Professional/holder of a Professional Regulatory Commission license/qualified by CSC under special laws); at least 21 years old but not more than 35 years old; and height should at least be 5’2″ for male and 5′ for female.
Applicants are required to prepare their folders containing their Application Letter; Personal Data Sheet; Official Transcript of Records, College Diploma; Certification of Eligibility or Report of Rating; and Birth Certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority.
Prospective applicants are advised to submit their folders at the PDEA Cordillera Regional Office in Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet.**(PDEA PR)
Robbery
A robbery incident transpired between 1:00 AM to 4:00 AM of May 21, 2017 at the Kubong Sawali Restaurant, Military Cut-off, Baguio City. The incident was personally reported at around 4:15 AM of same date by Pulanco Calo y Gonzales, 28, of Military Cut-off, Baguio City and security guard of the Kubong Sawali Restaurant. The incident was perpetrated by four unidentified suspects.
Initial investigation disclosed that Mrs. Norma Capa, while lying on her bed inside the restaurant, one of the suspects wearing a surgical mask suddenly appeared and struck her face with a gun causing her to become unconscious. When she regain her consciousness, she was already handcuffed and her mouth was taped including her face.
On the other hand, Mr. Pulanco was at the second floor when the other suspect pointed a gun at him and said,“huwag ka ng pumalag kung ayaw mong masaktan”. The suspects then tied him using a plastic tape and brought him near the dishwashing area together with Mrs Capa. The suspects then took the restaurant’s undetermined cash and valuables.
When the suspects left, Mr Pulanco managed to free himself and reported the incident to PS 5, BCPO. PNP personnel responded and immediately scoured the area for possible arrests, but the suspects already escaped. The CCTV installed at the restaurant is subject for review. The case is for follow-up investigation.
PD 533 (Anti-Cattle Rustling Law of 1974)
On May 23, 2017 at around 2:00 PM, PNP personnel from PIB, KPPO, 3rd MC RPSB PRO-COR and Rizal MPS went to verify a report that a cow owned by Congressman Allen Jesse C. Mangaoang was butchered near the Andarayan dam located inside the pasture land of the latter at Romualdez, Rizal, Kalinga.
Investigation revealed that the butchered cow was a female, colored white with a number 34 tag on her right ear and was taken and butchered by the group of Benjamin Basiway y Pasodag 46, married, farmer, Joven Tallongon, Rodolfo Esteban, Leonard Manganip, Bonifacio Dioferio and Junior Bogca, all residents of Andarayan, Santor, Rizal, Kalinga.
Suspects were invited to Rizal MPS for investigation. Progress report to follow.
Forging Treasury or Bank Notes or Other Documents Payable to Bearer
Please be informed that on May 15, 2017 at about 4:30 PM, in Poblacion, Bontoc, Mtn. Province, joint personnel of Bontoc PIB, Bontoc PIDMB, Paracelis MPS, and Atok MPS, arrested Sonny S. Manabat alias “Anthony Serrano Agustin”, 38, a resident of Ballesteros, Cagayan; and his live in partner Agustina G. Ullagon alias “Mylene Umma Velasco”, 33, residing in Bicutan, Taguig City for the crime of Forging Treasury or Bank Notes or Other Documents Payable to Bearer docketed as Criminal Case No. 16-CR-11399 issued by Hon. Danilo F. Camacho, Presiding Judge of RTC 1st Judicial Region Branch 62, La Trinidad, Benguet with no bail recommended.
Subject person was brought to Atok MPS for documentation prior turn-over to the court concerned.
Police nab criminal group leader and 3 other pushers
PROCOR CAMP BADO DANGWA– Four persons including a leader of a criminal group were arrested in separate police operations against prohibited drugs and illegal firearms in the Cordillera on May 19, 2017.
In Abra, the leader of the “Villamor Group” identified as Arthur Echave Villamor, 50, was arrested in his residence at Brgy Presentar, Lagangilang, Abra in the early morning of May 19, 2017. He was nabbed after a successful implementation of the search warrant issued by Judge Raphiel F. Alzate, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 58, Bucay, Abra which “yielded positive” leading to the confiscation of an unlicensed Caliber .38, revolver without a serial number.
Based on PNP records, the “Villamor Group” is an unlisted Criminal Group and involved in the proliferation of dangerous drugs in their barangays and nearby municipalities.
On the other hand, three drug pushers were nabbed in a buy-bust operation at the parking area of Hoppei Spa Salon at Upper Padre Burgos in Baguio City on the night of the same day.
Suspects were identified as Grace Ubusan Sibog, 41, businesswoman, a resident of Andres Bonifacio, Barangay, Baguio City; Donald Lee Fanglayan Quanzo, 33, businessman, a resident of Green Summerville Subdivision, Bakakeng Norte, Baguio City; and Albert Fanglayan Quanzo, 56, construction worker, and a resident of Purok 2, Pinsao Pilot Project, Baguio City.
Suspects were arrested after they sold suspected “shabu” to undercover agents that led to the seizure of 5 Heat sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, Php2, 500, one Samsung cellular phone and a Red Mitsubishi Pajero.
They were appropriately charged. **
