PRO CAR’s Weeklong Drug Ops Yield Over P2.6M Worth of Illegal Drugs; Five Drug Personalities Arrested
As anti-illegal drug operatives of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) continue to intensify their efforts to stop illegal drug activities in the region, a total of PhP2,660,922.40 worth of illegal drugs were seized and five drug personalities were arrested in separate operations conducted from May 26 to June 1, 2025.
According to reports from the Regional Operations Division of PRO CAR, 13 operations were conducted during the weeklong campaign. These included three buy-bust operations, eight marijuana eradication operations, and two police responses.
These operations led to the confiscation of 13,050 fully grown marijuana plants (FGMJP), one marijuana seedling, 7.52 grams of marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, and 7.35 grams of suspected shabu, with an overall Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PhP2,660,922.40.
The most notable operations took place in Kalinga, where the Lumin-awa Cops of the Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO) carried out one marijuana eradication operation, destroying 7,000 FGMJP with an SDP of PhP1,400,000.00. This was followed by Benguet, where the Cabalyero Cops of Benguet PPO conducted seven marijuana eradication operations, which resulted in the eradication of 6,050 FGMJP worth PhP1,210,000.00.
Meanwhile, in Baguio City, the Napino Cops of the Baguio City Police Office conducted two buy-bust operations and responded to two incidents, which led to the confiscation of one marijuana seedling, 7.52 grams of marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, and 1.70 grams of suspected shabu with an overall SDP of PhP12,502.40. In addition, they also apprehended one High Value Individual (HVI) and three Street Level Individuals.
Moreover, in Abra, the Abante Cops of Abra PPO conducted one buy-bust operation, which led to the seizure of 5.65 grams of suspected shabu worth PhP38,420.00 and the apprehension of one HVI.
These accomplishments show the unwavering commitment of PRO CAR to eliminate illegal drugs from the region. They also demonstrate the continued support of the community and local government units in upholding peace and order in the region.
23 Wanted Persons Nabbed in PRO CAR’s Weeklong Manhunt Ops; 56 Municipalities Report Zero Crime Incidents
The relentless anti-criminality campaign of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) led to the successful arrest of 23 wanted persons, while 56 municipalities recorded zero crime incidents—underscoring the effectiveness of the region’s intensified law enforcement operations.
During the weeklong campaign from May 25-31, 2025, the Baguio City Police Office (CPO) recorded the highest number of arrests with eight individuals apprehended, followed by the Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO) with six arrests, Benguet PPO with five, Abra PPO with two, and Ifugao PPO and Mountain Province PPO with one arrest each.
Meanwhile, the continued partnership between the PNP and local communities, coupled with increased police visibility, resulted in zero crime incidents across 56 municipalities in the region.
Specifically, no crime incidents were recorded in 21 municipalities in Abra; 10 in Ifugao; 9 in Mountain Province; seven in Apayao; five in Benguet, and four in Kalinga. In Baguio City, Police Stations 1, 3, and 6 of the Baguio CPO also reported zero crime incidents.
Further demonstrating their commitment to justice, PRO CAR achieved an impressive 81.54% crime clearance rate and a 70.77% crime solution efficiency—highlighting the dedication and capability of Cordillera police in resolving criminal cases.
