Over 88M worth of illegal drugs seized, 34 suspects arrested in PROCAR’S month long ops
The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) concluded the month of December with a significant impact on its anti-illegal drug campaign, following the seizure of PhP88,952,672.00 worth of illegal drugs and arresting 34 drug personalities during 101 separate operations conducted from December 1 to 31, 2025.
According to reports from the Regional Operations Division of PRO CAR, these operations included 71 marijuana eradication efforts, 14 buy-bust operations, 11 search warrant implementations, three police responses, and one service of a warrant of arrest.
The said separate operations led to the confiscation of 260.60 grams of shabu, 390,060 fully grown marijuana plants, 67,606.60 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, and 26,320 marijuana seedlings. These items carry a combined total Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PhP88,952,672.00. Additionally, of the 34 individuals arrested, 25 were identified as Street Level Individuals (SLIs) and nine as High Value Individuals (HVIs).
The most significant operations were conducted by the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO), which confiscated illegal drugs valued at PhP51,978,252.00. This was followed by the Kalinga PPO, which seized drugs with an SDP of PhP35,770,412.00.
Furthermore, the Mountain Province PPO confiscated drugs worth PhP1,009,732.00.
The Baguio City Police Office seized suspected shabu valued at PhP176,120.00, while the Abra PPO confiscated suspected shabu worth PhP8,500.00. Meanwhile, the Apayao PPO seized suspected shabu valued at PhP7,480.00, and the Ifugao PPO confiscated suspected shabu with an SDP of PhP2,176.00.

2025 recap: 155 gun violators arrested, 1,218 loose firearms accounted for in Cordi
The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR), under the leadership of Regional Director PBGEN ERICSON D DILAG, reported significant accomplishments for 2025, highlighting a decisive and sustained campaign against loose firearms that has significantly enhanced public safety across the region.
According to reports from the Regional Operations Division, PRO CAR recorded the arrest of 155 individuals for gun-related violations and the successful accounting of 1,218 loose firearms from January 1 to December 31, 2025. Of the total firearms accounted for, 1,033 were voluntarily surrendered by individuals and stakeholders, 163 were confiscated, and 22 were recovered during various police operations.
Among the arrested gun violators, the Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO) recorded the highest number of arrests with 84, followed by Kalinga PPO with 33, the Baguio City Police Office (CPO) with 14, Mountain Province PPO with eight, Benguet PPO with seven, Apayao PPO with six, and Ifugao PPO with three.
In terms of firearms accounted for, Abra PPO also led with 415, followed by Benguet PPO with 172, Kalinga PPO with 170, Ifugao PPO with 150, the Baguio CPO with 143, Apayao PPO with 90, and Mountain Province PPO with 78.
Loose firearms include unregistered, altered, lost, stolen, or illegally manufactured guns, as well as registered firearms held by unauthorized persons or those whose licenses have been revoked, in accordance with existing regulations.
PBGEN DILAG emphasized that these accomplishments reflect PRO CAR’s sustained police operations and proactive community engagement across the region, underscoring strong public support for the Philippine National Police’s intensified campaign against loose firearms. (RPIO PRO CAR)
