PROCAR recognizes service rendered by a departed personnel
The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR), under the leadership of PBGEN ERICSON D DILAG, paid tribute to the meaningful and dedicated service of the late PLT CRISMAR PICARO HIB-ATON.
PLT HIB-ATON was posthumously awarded the Medalya ng Paglilingkod (PNP Service Medal) in recognition of his 27 years, 4 months, and 24 days of faithful and honorable service in the Philippine National Police. He entered the police service on September 30, 1998, and remained steadfast in his commitment to duty until February 23, 2026.
Throughout his career, PLT HIB-ATON served in various key assignments under the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO), particularly at Sablan Municipal Police Station (MPS), where he served as the Municipal Executive Senior Police Officer.
At the time of his passing, he was assigned as the Deputy Chief of Police of Bangued MPS, Abra PPO, where he continued to uphold the core values of integrity, service, and professionalism in the performance of his duties.
The Medalya ng Paglilingkod was conferred by PCOL LEDON D MONTE, Deputy Regional Director for Operations, during his visit to the wake of PLT HIB-ATON in Sablan, Benguet on March 3, 2026, as a gesture of honor and recognition for his invaluable contributions to the organization and the communities he faithfully served.
PRO CAR extends its deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and reaffirms its commitment to remembering the legacy of dedication and sacrifice exemplified by PLT HIB-ATON, whose service will continue to inspire his fellow police officers.
PROCAR strengthens youth ties, supports Benguet provincial youth summit 2026
The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) reaffirmed its strong commitment to youth empowerment and community partnership during the Provincial Youth Summit 2026, organized by the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) held at the PRO CAR Multi-Purpose Center, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on March 2, 2026.
The summit brought together key government officials, youth leaders, and community stakeholders to foster collaboration between the youth and law enforcement agencies in promoting peace and development across the province.
Gracing the event as the keynote speaker was ASEC Gervy James N. Gumarit, Commissioner Representing Luzon of the National Youth Commission. Also in attendance were Hon. Melchor D Diclas, Governor of Benguet, PBGEN JULIO S LIZARDO, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, who represented PRO CAR Regional Director PBGEN ERICSON D DILAG; PCOL LAMBERT A SUERTE, Provincial Director of Benguet PPO alongside SK officials, students, youth leaders, and various stakeholders from across the province.
A highlight of the activity was the turnover of wheelchairs, vests, and rain boots to barangay tanods, demonstrating the collaborative effort between law enforcement agencies, local government units, and community stakeholders in strengthening grassroots security mechanisms.
In his message, PBGEN LIZARDO underscored the importance of strengthening youth participation in community development and public safety. He highlighted the vital role of the youth as active partners in nation-building and as key drivers in sustaining peace and order in the Cordillera region.
The event culminated with a pledge of commitment from the participants, expressing their united support for the campaign against illegal cultivation and their dedication to promoting community safety.
