MTN PROVINCE PPO BARRACKS GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY
A new barracks for the personnel of the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office (PPO) will soon rise following the groundbreaking ceremony held in Camp Lt Geronimo F Montes in Bontoc, Mountain Province on April 5, 2023.
Gracing the event as the guest of honor speaker is PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., the Regional Director of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR).
Other key officers present during the ceremony were PCOL SIBLY P DAWIGUEY, JR., the Provincial Director of Mountain Province PPO; PMAJ PEDRO T TACTAY, the Chief of Police of Bontoc Municipal Police Station; Congressman Maximo Y Dalog Jr., District Representative of Mtn. Provincee; Hon. Mayor Jerome Tudlong Jr. of Bontoc, Mtn Province; and Mr. Angel Baybay, representative of Hon. Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr.
In his message, PBGEN PEREDO JR. extended his appreciation to the members of the Local Government Units (LGUs) for their unending support to the plans and programs of the PNP and for helping the Montañosa cops in maintaining peace and order in the province.
The soon-to-rise building will serve as the officers’ quarter of the Mountain Province PPO personnel, after the fire incident on May 31, 2022, razed the old barracks to the ground together with two nearby residential houses.
PROCOR JOINED THE CELEBRATION OF THE 56TH MTN PROVINCE ANNIVERSARY AND LANG-AY FESTIVAL 2023
The men and women of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) led by the Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., joined the grand celebration of the 56th Mountain Province Founding Anniversary and 16th Lang-ay Festival 2023 held at the Eyeb Grandstand in Bontoc, Mountain Province on April 5, 2023.
In his message, PBGEN PEREDO, JR. emphasized his three-fold agenda, the DKP which stands for Disiplina at Dasal, Kakayahan, Pagmamahal at Pagtupad sa Tungkulin. The three-fold agenda will serve as a constant reminder for PROCOR Cops for providing excellent service while also maintaining peace and order in the community.
He also encouraged the public in preserving the rich culture, and tradition of the province while continuously improving and advancing their local tourism industry and encouraging the tribal elders to continue being one with PROCOR in promoting peace and order in the communities.
Moreover, the Regional Director introduced the Mountain Province police officers as “Montañosa Inayan Cops” after the Inayan culture, which incorporates all of the characteristics and morals of tribal members, including faithfulness, honesty, humility, integrity, and dedication. Inayan is also the tenet of peace among e-Montañosa.**
