NINE PRO COR COPS AWARDED FOR THEIR NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENT
Nine (9) police officers from the different units of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PRO COR) were awarded PNP Medals in recognition of their efforts and commendable performance in their sworn duties and responsibilities during the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at Masigasig Grandstand, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on June 26, 2023.
PRO COR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., and Director Renato O Rosales, Officer-In-Charge of the Commission on Audit Cordillera (COA-CAR), led the presentation of the PNP Medals to the deserving PRO COR personnel.
PCOL ANDREW M AGUIRRE and PEMS Bill P Capya-ao, Regional Finance Service Office 15 (RFSO 15); PEMS Brien D Mayos and NUP Jayson Pollosco, Regional Comptrollership Division (RCD); and NUP Leonarda Senio, Benguet PPO, were awarded the Medalya ng Kasanayan (PNP Efficiency Medal) for their invaluable services rendered as facilitators in the successful conduct of the Annual Management Audit for Fiscal Year 2022 from May 16–19, 2023.
While PMSg Lexy Aliba and PSSg Dexter Telan, Ifugao Police Provincial, were awarded the Medalya ng Kagalingan for the successful service of a warrant of arrest for the No. 4 Most Wanted Person, Regional Level, for the 2nd Quarter of CY 2023, for the crime of Statutory Rape.
The same award was given to PCPT FILMORE D PASIWEN and Pat Johnny Nay-osan, Baguio City Police Office, for the successful service of a warrant of arrest for the No. 7 Most Wanted Person City Level for the 1st Quarter of CY 2023 for violation of the New Anti- Carnapping Act of 2016 (RA10883) on March 21, 2023.
Also, a certificate of recognition is presented to the Regional Information and Communications Technology Management Division received by PLTCOL VIVIAN PACLIBON for having been adjudged the cleanest office of the week from June 19–23, 2023.
7 DRUG PERSONALITIES ARRESTED; OVER P300-K WORTH OF ILLEGAL DRUGS SEIZED
Seven (7) drug personalities were arrested and a total of Php 348,160.00 worth of illegal drugs were confiscated during a weeklong drug operation that took place from June 18–24, 2023, as PROCOR cops continue to intensify their anti-illegal drugs campaign.
Citing records from the PROCOR’s Regional Operations Division (ROD), the seven (7) personalities were arrested after they were caught in possession of a total of 51.2 grams of shabu and 3.37 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, with an overall Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 371,876.00.
The same report disclosed that of the seven arrests conducted, the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) recorded six (6) drug personalities arrested, while the Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO) recorded one (1) arrested personality.
The arrested suspects were identified as Jerry V. Pambid, 32, HVI; Joel F. Tiberio, 52, HVI; Enrique D. Lucena, 37, SLI; Renato G. Corona, 57, SLI; Jerold B. Valdez, 30, HVI; Randy F. Paraan, 38; and Benac D. Gonnawa, 29, HVI.
All arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to their respective arresting units, while charges for violating the R.A. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, is being prepared against them.
The Regional Director, PBGen David K Peredo Jr lauded all the operatives for the job well done. “We will not leave stones unturned if only to stop the proliferation of the drug menace in the region”, he said.
