PROCOR COPS’ WEEKLONG DRUGS OPERATION SEIZED OVER P27.3M WORTH OF
ILLEGAL DRUGS
The weeklong anti-illegal drugs campaign of PROCOR Cops from June 25–July 1, 2023, has resulted in the confiscation of a total of Php 27,342,800.00 worth of illegal drugs and the arrest of two drug personalities.
Citing records from the PROCOR’s Regional Operations Division (ROD), the two (2) personalities were arrested after they were caught in possession of a total of 6.0 grams of shabu, with an overall Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 40,800.00.
The same report disclosed that the two arrests were made by the operatives of the Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO), identifying the suspects as Felix Cammagay, 35 years old, SLI, and Rany Marquez, 44 years old, HVI.
All arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to their respective arresting units, while charges for violating the R.A. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against them.
Meanwhile, in a separate anti-illegal drug operation, six (6) clandestine marijuana plantation sites were discovered in the municipalities of Bakun and Kibungan, Benguet.
A total of 230 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants (FGMJP), 6,400 pieces of Marijuana seedlings, and 225, 000 grams of Dried Marijuana leaves and fruiting tops with an overall Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 27,302,000.00 were discovered from these sites. All of these were burned after documentation.
8 PROCOR PERSONNEL AWARDED FOR THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE FIELD OF POLICE RELATIONS
PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., together with Dir. Cameron P. Odsey, Regional Executive Director of the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office Car, led the awarding of PNP Medals to eight (8) PRO COR personnel from the different units of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) for their meritorious achievements in the field of police community relations.
The awardees received their medals during the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at Masigasig Grandstand, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on July 3, 2023.
PLTCOL RUEL D TAGEL, the Acting Force Commander of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 (RMFB15), and Pat Leah Joy Meniosa of RMFB15 were awarded the Medalya ng Ugnayang Pampulisya (PNP Relationship Medal) for the successful conduct of the Medical and Dental Mission held in Barangay Balugan, Sagada, Mt Province, on June 10, 2023.
The same award was presented to PLTCOL GREG D. AMMIYAO, the Deputy Chief of the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division (RCADD), while Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP) Elizabeth Cedo of the RCADD received the Medalya ng Kasanayan for their service rendered as facilitators during the conduct of Fun Bike, Walk for Peace, and Zumba, which were participated in by personnel of PRO COR, BJMP, BFP Baguio, Barangay-based organizations, and different advocacy support groups in Baguio City on April 21, 2023.
Further, PCPT ILARDE B. AGUSTIN, the Chief of Police, and PCpl Jack A Suldayan of Kapangan Municipal Police Station (MPS) received the Medalya ng Ugnayan for their remarkable performance of duty rendered during the construction of a one-story classroom building at Gaswiling Integrated School in Kapangan.
The last recipients of the same award were PCPT Denio G. PACIO, the Chief of Police, and PSMS Guensel T. Oloan of Bauko MPS for their notable service rendered as facilitators in the successful conduct of moving the youth towards peace and development, which was participated in by students of Mabaay National High School in Bauko, Mountain Province.
