TWO REPORTED MISSING FOREIGN NATIONALS SUCCESSFULLY RESCUED IN IFUGAO
Two foreign nationals were successfully rescued in the province of Ifugao after the immediate conduct of a Search and Rescue (SAR) operation by the Haggiyo Cops of the Ifugao Police Provincial Office (PPO) at Sitio Lamagan, Brgy. Cambulo, Banaue, Ifugao in the afternoon of September 3, 2023.
Based on the reports submitted to PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO JR., the two missing foreigners were identified as Roy Schouten, 22 years old, and Rich Schouten, 19 years old, both from the Netherlands.
According to PCOL DAVY VICENTE LIMMONG, the Provincial Director of Ifugao PPO, police officers from Banaue Municipal Police Station (MPS) and the 2nd Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company were immediately deployed after receiving information regarding two foreigners who went missing on September 2, 2023, while trekking in the mountainous area of Brgy. Cambulo and Brgy. Pula, Banaue, Ifugao.
The said police officers, together with personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection-Banaue, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, and other civilian volunteers, conducted SAR operations in the mountain ranges of Brgy. Cambulo and Brgy. Pula, Banaue, which led to the successful rescue of the two Dutch nationals.
The team immediately provided first aid to the said foreigners due to minor injuries they sustained and guided them back to the town proper for further intervention.
The Regional Director PBGen DAVID K PEREDO JR lauded the Haggiyo Cops for the immediate response which led to the safe rescue of the Schouten siblings.

Members of the Regional Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (RAGPTD) were recognized by PRO Cordillera for being adjudged as one of the top-performing Regional Advisory Group during the 11th Anniversary Celebration of the Center for Police Strategy Management.
PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., together with the other members of the command group, led the awarding of certificates of recognition to the RAGPTD members during the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at the Multi-Purpose Center, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on September 4, 2023.
Certificates of recognition were given to Engr. Eduardo Meneses, the Chairman of RAGPTD; PMGEN WILFREDO FRANCO (Ret), Vice-Chairman of RAGPTD; Mr. Ryan Mangusan, RAGPTD Treasurer; Director Editha Puddoc, RAGPTD Auditor; and Mr. Eddie Carta, RAGPTD Public Relations Officer.
Further, similar certificates of recognition were given to Ms. Dona Digna Rosario, the Directress of Our Lady of Mt.
