PRO CORDILLERA’S WEEKLONG MANHUNT OPS NETS 39 WANTED PERSONALITIES
As PRO Cordillera cops continue to intensify their anti-criminality drive, thirty-nine (39) wanted personalities, including seven (7) individuals listed as Most Wanted Persons (MWP) were arrested, while fifty-four (54) municipalities in the region recorded zero crime incidents from September 17 to 23, 2023.
Based on the records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division, the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) recorded the highest number of arrests, with twelve (12) wanted persons apprehended, followed by the Baguio City Police Office with nine (9) arrests, Ifugao PPO with six (6) arrests, Apayao PPO with five (5) arrests, Abra PPO and Kalinga PPO with three (3) arrest each, and one (1) arrest made by the Mt. Province PPO.
Of the seven (7) individuals listed as MWP, six (6) are the most wanted personalities at the municipal level, and one (1) at the provincial level.
Meanwhile, as a result of the intensified police presence, fifty-four (54) municipalities in the different provinces of the region and one (1) police station in Baguio City remain peaceful, as PRO Cordillera recorded zero crime incidents in these areas during the same week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in twenty-two (22) out of twenty-seven (27) municipalities in Abra, seven (7) out of thirteen (13) municipalities in Benguet, seven (7) out of eleven (11) municipalities in Ifugao, five (5) out of seven (7) municipalities in Apayao, three (3) out of seven (7) municipalities in Kalinga, and ten (10) municipalities in Mt. Province.
Further, the city police station of Marcos Highway PS10 also recorded zero crime incidents out of 10 police stations in Baguio City.
5 PRO CORDILLERA PERSONNEL AWARDED FOR THEIR NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS
PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., led the awarding of PNP Medals to five (5) PRO Cordillera personnel during the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at the Masigasig Grandstand, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on September 25, 2023.
Medalya ng Kagalingan (PNP Medal of Merit) was awarded to PCPT FREDERICK D MARCELINO and PCpl Randolf B Kamfoli of Pacdal Police Station 3 (PS3), Baguio City Police Office, for the successful arrest of the Top 3 Most Wanted Person City Level for the crime of Statutory Rape on August 2, 2023, in Brgy. Pacdal, Baguio City.
The same award was given to PLT JONES C TAKAYENG and PSSg Ranger S Simeon of the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) for the successful arrest of a High-Value Individual in a buy-bust operation conducted on August 14, 2023, at Brgy. Betag, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Meanwhile, the Medalya ng Kasanayan (PNP Efficiency Medal) was awarded to PMSg Cristopher S Keat of Benguet PPO for the successful promulgation of judgment in favor of the Philippines against a suspect for violation of Sections 5 and 15 of Article 2 of the R.A. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Further, a Certificate of Recognition was presented to the Regional Logistics and Research Development Division, received by PCOL REGUEL SANTAMARIA, Chief RLRDD, for being adjudged the cleanest office last week from September 18–22, 2023.
