FOUR PRO CORDILLERA POLICE OFFICERS RECOGNIZED FOR THEIR NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS
To recognize their significant and notable accomplishments in the Cordillera region, the PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, led the awarding of PNP Medals to four PRO Cordillera police officers during the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at the Multi-Purpose Center, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on January 15, 2023.
The Medalya ng Ugnayang Pampulisya (Police Relations Medal) was awarded to PMAJ ERVING KERYAO of Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) for his heartwarming display of community service in initiating and organizing a gift-giving activity on December 6, 2023 at Bagu, Bakun, Benguet, in partnership with Benguet PAGPTD and LGU Benguet, benefitting 190 indigent families.
A similar award was presented to PCpl Bismak M. Oway of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 for his invaluable service rendered as a blood donor on November 25, 2023, at Luis Hora Regional Hospital, Abatan, Bauko, Mountain Province, in response to their request for a patient who was diagnosed with a complete spinal cord injury.
Further, the same medal was given to Pat Kelvin Kurt B Agwilang of Apayao PPO for his heartwarming display of community service in organizing a gift-giving activity on December 7, 2023, at Sitio Domija, Aurora Pudtol Apayao, distributing hygiene kits and assorted grocery items to 30 participants.
Meanwhile, the Medalya ng Papuri (PNP Commendation Medal) was bestowed on PCPT ERICK V WAKAT of the Baguio City Police Office for his exceptional performance and dedication to duty, which resulted in the swift transportation of a child reportedly suffering from seizures at Camp 7, Kennon Road, Baguio City to Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center on January 5, 2024.
PRO CORDILLERA TOP COP GRACES THE BLESSING AND INAUGURATION OF THE NEW RIZAL MPS BUILDING IN KALINGA
The PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, graced the blessing and inauguration of the newly constructed building of Rizal Municipal Police Station (MPS) in a program held in Brgy Liwan West, Rizal, Kalinga on January 16, 2024.
As part of the program, PBGEN PEREDO, JR, led the event’s highlights which included the turnover of the symbolic key of the newly built Rizal MPS building, followed by the ribbon-cutting and the unveiling of commemorative markers, then the blessing officiated by the Parish Priest of Saint Michael Parish, Rev. Fr. Vincent Giovanni Wacas.
Present during the program were: the Chief of the Regional Logistics and Research Development Division, PCOL REGUEL B SANTAMARIA; the Chief of the Regional Public Information Office, PLTCOL CAROLINA F LACUATA; the Officer-In-Charge of the Sheltering Center of the Regional Engineering Unit-COR, PLT DEAN A AQUISAN; the Acting Provincial Director of Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO), PCOL FREDDIE M LAZONA; the Acting Chief of Police of Rizal MPS, PCPT JULIO C SALIBAD; and the Chiefs of Police and other heads of offices and personnel of the different units of Kalinga PPO.
The ceremony was also witnessed by the Congressman of Kalinga, Hon. Allen Jesse C. Mangaoang; the Provincial Legal Officer, Atty. Priel P. Balnao, as representative of the Governor of Kalinga, Hon. James S. Edduba; the Mayor of Rizal, Hon. Karl Bugao P Baac; the Vice Mayor of Rizal, Hon. Samuel C Valdez; the District Engineer of the DPWH Lower Kalinga DEO, Engr. Ruby A Uyam; the members of the Municipal Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development of Rizal MPS; the members of the Local Government Unit of Kalinga; and the representatives from FC Architects Construction.
As the guest of honor and speaker, PBGEN PEREDO, JR highlighted that the successful construction of the new Rizal MPS building is an outcome of the fruitful collaboration aimed at fostering a more peaceful and prosperous community.
“The New Police Station will be more than just a police station but a place for us to grow as partners, the PNP and the community, working together towards the realization of a common dream: the attainment of a safer Rizal, to live work, study, and do business in,” PBGEN PEREDO added.
The newly constructed Standard Type “B/C” Building of Rizal MPS was constructed with the funds provided under the PNP-DPWH Convergence and Special Support Program and was executed by FC Architect Construction.
