SIX PRO CORDILLERA COPS RECOGNIZED FOR THEIR NOTABLE
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
The Deputy Regional Director for Administration of the Police Regional Office Cordillera, PBGEN PATRICK JOSEPH G ALLAN, together with other members of the command group, led the awarding of PNP Medals to six PRO Cordillera cops who have greatly contributed to the anti-criminality campaign of the Philippine National Police.
The awardees proudly received their PNP medals during the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at the Masigasig Grandstand, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on January 29, 2024.
The Medalya ng Kagalingan (PNP Medal of Merit) was awarded to PLT SANDY A CAOILE and PMSg Jackson L Basilio of the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) for the successful service of a warrant of arrest against an individual listed as Number 9 Top Most Wanted Person at the Provincial Level for sexual assault in Atok, Benguet.
The same award was given to PCpl Benson C Os-osa and Pat Nilo B Cabansi of the Baguio City Police Office (CPO) for the successful buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of a High-Value Individual and the confiscation of one sachet of shabu in Victoria Village, Baguio City.
Meanwhile, the Medalya ng Papuri (PNP Commendation Medal) was given to Pat Noslen Jefferson I Serraon and Pat Olive Joy O Fegsar of the Baguio CPO for their exceptional performance and dedication to duty that resulted in the prompt transportation of a child who fainted at the Baguio Cathedral to Baguio General Hospital on January 27, 2024.
“National Remembrance of SAF 44 Bike Ride 2024”
In honor of the Fallen SAF 44, the PRO Cordillera, Regional Director PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, together with the City Mayor of Baguio, Hon. Benjamin B Magalong, led the “National Remembrance of SAF 44 Bike Ride 2024” held on January 28, 2024.
The activity was initiated by the Napino Cops led by the City Director of Baguio City Police Office, PCOL FRANCISCO BULWAYAN, JR, and was actively participated in by PRO Cordillera cops and other bike enthusiasts.
The bike ride started at the Burnham Biking Area in Baguio City, going to Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet where a simple program was held at the PRO Cordillera Masigasig Grandstand.
During the program, PBGEN PEREDO, JR and Mayor Magalong conveyed their message of support for the said activity, and a film viewing of a SAF 44 documentary was also conducted.
In his message, PBGEN PEREDO, JR said, “As we commemorate the heroism of the gallant SAF 44 through the ‘BIKE RIDE 2024,’ which aims not only to remember their sacrifices but also to promote a strong and healthy body and to continue the partnership between and among the community and other stakeholders, we also give our best and stand firm to do our duties and responsibilities. Nonetheless, let us continue to remain strong, unshaken, and in shared solidarity as keepers of peace and managers of orderliness in our region.”
“To the gallant SAF 44, our snappiest salute to your bravery, we are wholeheartedly thankful for your service and sacrifice, in defending our country and people,” the Regional Director added.
After the program, the bike ride continued going to the Convention Center in Baguio City as the end of the route of the “National Remembrance of SAF 44 Bike Ride 2024.”
