PRO-CAR CONGRATULATES NEWLY-PROMOTED ACTING CHIEF, PCADU OF ABRA PPO
The Police Regional Office (PRO)-CAR congratulates the Acting Chief of the Provincial Community Affairs and Development Unit of Abra Police Provincial Office, PLTCOL DANIEL F PEL-EY, as he was formally promoted to the rank of Police Lieutenant Colonel during the Oath-Taking and Donning of Ranks Ceremony held at the PRO-CAR Log Cabin, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on June 24, 2024.
The highlights of the program include the reading of the promotion order by the Chief of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division, PCOL ARNOLD D RAZOTE; the blessing of the rank insignias and accouterments by the Regional Pastoral Officer, Rev. Fr. (PMAJ) ALEXANDER V PARDO; and the oath taking and donning of ranks of PLTCOL PEL-EY administered by the PRO-CAR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR.
Also present during the ceremony were the family and friends of PLTCOL PEL-EY; the Deputy Regional Director for Operations and Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PCOL ELMER E RAGAY; the Chief Regional Staff, PCOL JULIO S LIZARDO; the Regional Staff; the Chiefs of the Regional Support Units; and other PRO-CAR personnel.
In his message, PBGEN PEREDO, JR congratulated the newly promoted Police Lieutenant Colonel for his well-deserved promotion and acknowledged the steadfast support of his family, which played a pivotal role in his success.
Additionally, the Regional Director also emphasized the importance of public servants carrying themselves with dignity and upholding the responsibilities that come with their roles.
Concluding his message, PBGEN PEREDO, JR stated, “Let’s unite and work together to make a positive impact, to make progress toward a dynamic, results-driven, and inspired PNP dahil sa bagong Pilipinas ang gusto ng pulis, ligtas tayong lahat!”
Benguet PPO eradicates 850 MJ plants in Bakun, Benguet
A successful marijuana eradication operation launched by the Cabalyero cops of the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) led to the discovery of 850 pieces of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants (FGMJP) in Bakun, Benguet, on June 22, 2024.
According to the reports submitted to the PRO-CAR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, the joint operatives of Bakun Municipal Station (MPS), along with the Provincial Intelligence Unit/Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Benguet PPO, Regional Intelligence Unit-14, and PDEA-CAR, conducted a marijuana eradication operation that resulted in the discovery of an 850 square meter communal forest land planted with approximately 850 pieces of FGMJP with a Standard Drug Price of PhP170,000.00.
All marijuana plants were properly documented and subsequently burned on site, while enough samples were collected for submission to the Regional Forensic Unit CAR for qualitative testing.
Meanwhile, the Bakun MPS is actively engaged in an ongoing investigation aimed at identifying additional marijuana plantation sites and apprehending individuals involved in cultivation activities.**
