“Salamat, Kapatid:” A tribute to three retiring cops
The Police Regional Office (PRO)-CAR honors the commitment and dedication to service shown by three retiring police officers through the PNP retirement ceremony known as the “Salamat Kapatid” program, held at the Multi-purpose Center in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on July 30, 2024.
The honorees for the ceremony were: PCPT VIOLETA D TACIO of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division, PEMS Jenalyn T Cumahleng of the Benguet Police Provincial Office, and PEMS Gerry C Soriano of the Regional Headquarters Support Unit.
The program was led by the PRO-CAR’s Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, and was attended by the other members of the Command Group, the Regional Staff, the Chiefs of the Regional Support Units, other PRO Cordillera personnel, and the family & friends of the retirees.
As a highlight of the program, PBGEN RAYMUNDO, JR, presented the retirees with plaques, mementos, and the Medalya ng Paglilingkod in recognition of their faithful and commendable service to the Philippine National Police.
Further, as an expression of appreciation for their unending support, selfless love, and sacrifice toward the retiring cops, a certificate of recognition was given to their families.
During her valedictory message, PCPT TACIO expressed her deep gratitude to the PNP for offering a platform to serve the nation and protect its citizens. She highlighted the invaluable support she received from her colleagues, superiors, and most importantly, her family throughout her career.
As the ceremony concluded, PBGEN RAYMUNDO, JR, extended his sincerest thanks to the three retiring PRO-CAR cops and their families for their selfless dedication and invaluable service to the PNP. He encouraged them to take this time to reconnect and make up for the moments they missed with their loved ones, and affirmed that they will remain integral members of the PNP family.
The “Salamat Kapatid” program serves as the PNP’s tribute to retirees, honoring their many years of dedicated service to the organization, the nation, and its citizens.
PRO-CAR CULMINATES 29TH PCR MONTH RECOGNIZING OUTSTANDING PERSONNEL
The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) ended the monthlong celebration of the 29th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month with a culmination program held at the Masigasig Grandstand, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on July 31, 2024.
The program, graced by the Regional Director of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-CAR, Ms. Maria Atitiw Catbagan-Aplaten, was attended by the Deputy Regional Director for Administration (DRDA), PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, the Deputy Regional Director for Operations, PCOL ELMER E RAGAY, the Chief Regional Staff, PCOL JULIO S LIZARDO, the Regional Director of the National Police Commission-CAR, Ms. Editha S. Puddoc, the Regional Staff, the Special Staff, the Chiefs of the Regional Support Units, and other PRO-CAR personnel.
The highlight of the ceremony was the awarding of PNP medals and plaques of recognition to four outstanding PRO-CAR personnel for their exemplary service:
PLTCOL RENNY D LIZARDO was honored as the Outstanding PCAD Senior PCO.
PCPT GILBERT O ANSELMO was recognized as the Outstanding PCAD Junior PCO.
PSMS Rhescien Mae B Anselmo received the award for Outstanding PCAD Senior PNCO.
PSsg Noe Y Marok was recognized as the Outstanding PCAD Junior PNCO.
In her message, Dir. Aplaten extended her congratulations to the awardees and urged all PRO-CAR personnel to continue their dedicated service. She stressed the importance of fostering safer and more secure communities as part of a thriving “Bagong Pilipinas.”
Dir. Aplaten also shared a guiding principle encapsulated in the acronym INTEGRITY, emphasizing values such as Inspiration, Nobility, Trust, Excellence, Grit, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork, and Yearning. She encouraged these values to guide PRO-CAR personnel in both their professional and personal lives.
