OVER 29M WORTH OF MARIJUANA MARIJUANA DESTROYED
PROCOR’s side-by-side anti-illegal drugs operations resulted in the recovery of marijuana bricks worth over P29-M in Kalinga, and the discovery of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants (FGMJP) worth over P400-K in Benguet on February 23, 2023.
In Kalinga, police operatives conducted a hot pursuit operation after a driver evaded a checkpoint being conducted in Sitio Dinakan, Brgy. Dangoy, Lubuagan, Kalinga.
The same report disclosed that the vehicle was later found abandoned with 241 pieces of Marijuana bricks and one (1) tubular Marijuana weighing more or less 242,000 grams with an overall Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 29,040,000.00 in New Balbalan, Lacnog, Tabuk City, Kalinga, while manhunt operation is still ongoing for the possible arrest of the suspect.
Markings and inventories of the pieces of evidence recovered were done on-site in the presence of media representative, Ms. Janette Alagao; DOJ representative, Ms. Lanie Balao-ing, and Barangay Kagawad Guillermo Banasan of Brgy. Lacnog.
Meanwhile, in Benguet, a total of 2,130 pcs of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants (FGMJP) with an SDP of Php 426,000.00 were discovered and burned in Sitio Dayag, Ca-ang, and Matacadang, Brgy. Kayapa, Bakun, Benguet.
According to Bakun Municipal Police Station (MPS), five (5) Marijuana plantation sites were discovered within the said place and after documentation, all discovered Marijuana Plants were uprooted and burned onsite while investigations are ongoing to identify possible cultivators of the said marijuana plants.

The men and women of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) were filled with pride and honor as they welcome The Director for Comptrollership, PMGEN JESUS DAGADAG CAMBAY, JR. during his visit for his sentimental journey in PROCOR on February 27, 2023.
As he walks into the hollow ground of PROCOR, PMGEN CAMBAY JR. was greeted with the vibrant sounds of the gongs and graceful dance performed by PROCOR Cultural Dancers, he was received by the PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN MAFELINO A BAZAR.
PMGEN CAMBAY JR. in his message, reminisced his more than 20 years of service rendered in PROCOR and commended the hard work and sacrifices of the personnel, and further encouraged them to continue doing outstanding performance service for the community.
“It feels good to be back home where I spend most of my years in service. I am not a perfect police officer, I also had my missteps but more often than that I erased them, I corrected them, I moved on and it made me a better person, not just a better PNP officer,” PMGEN CAMBAY JR. said.

To recognize their commitment, dedication, and hard work, three police officers from the different units of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) were given PNP Medals during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at the Masigasig Grandstand, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on February 27, 2023.
As the guest of honor and speaker, PMGEN JESUS DAGADAG CAMBAY, JR., The Director for Comptrollership, led the awarding of personnel. He was assisted by PBGEN MAFELINO A BAZAR, PROCOR Regional Director, and other members of the PROCOR Command Group.
Medalya ng Kagalingan (Merit Medal) was given to PLTCOL JOEY JONATHAN BAGAYAO and PSSg Warren Tabbang of Tabuk City Police Station, Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO) for their efforts that led to the recovery of 241 dried Marijuana bricks and 1 tubular dried Marijuana leaves and with a total Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 29,040,000.00 in Brgy. Lacnog, Tabuk City, Kalinga on February 23, 2023.
Medalya ng Papuri (Commendation Medal) was given to Pat Jeffrey Witawit of BCPO Pacdal Police Station 3 for enforcing the law without fear or favor at the risk of his own life by apprehending a driver for Violation of Obstruction, Reckless driving, and Disobedience of Lawful Orders of Persons in Authority or their Agents along CM Recto St., Saint Joseph Village, Baguio City on February 10, 2023. **
