Bangan’s Cafe inaugurate in MP
As PROCOR Officer’s Ladies Club continuously support the PNP Programs, Ms. Bong Lee, OLC adviser, led the formal opening and inauguration of Bangan’s Cafe as its first project located in Camp Geronimo F Montes, Poblacion, Bontoc, Mountain Province on October 15, 2021.
The establishment of the Bangan’s Café aims to generate funds to support the activities and projects of the club anchored on the PNP programs as well as to strengthen its relationship with the community.
The simple ceromony started with an invocation graced by PLTCOL JONATHAN L CHY, regional chaplain. Afterwards, the ribbon-cutting and the blessing of the MPPPO Ladies Club Bangan’s Cafe were conducted participated in by Mountain Province Police Provincial Office (MPPPO) Ladies Club, command staff, MPPPO provincial director and staff.
During the program, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, regional director, donated cash amounting to Php 30,000.00 from his personal fund to the MPPPO Ladies Club as additional capital to generate funds for more projects. Likewise, kitchen utensils were donated by the club to the Mtn. Province PPO.
As the guest of honor and speaker, Ms. Bong Lee acknowledged and appreciated the personnel of Mtn. Province PPO and the active members of the Ladies Club.
“The purpose of the activities is to empower women, establishing a good working relationship among ladies and enhance the wellbeing of each member, she added.
Ending her message, Ms. Lee stated that “Bangan’s Cafe is a symbol and inspiration to the ladies’ dedication to help in the community especially this pandemic. Also to continue being an advocate for public service.
Drug personality under probation rearrested
A drug personality under probation was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted at the Rizal Monument Park, Baguio City on October 15, 2021.
He was identified as Jason Vida Alejandro, 25 and a resident of Upper Rock Quarry, Baguio City.
The arrest was done by joint operatives of BCPO, RIU-14 and RID-PROCOR after he sold to one of them who acted as a poseur buyer of two (2) sachets of suspected dried marijuana wrapped with brown paper bag weighing more or less 10 grams with a market value of Php 2,000.00.
Markings and inventory of the pieces of evidence was conducted onsite in the presence of the arrested suspect and witnessed by Prosecutor Sigrid K. Lakwasan – Canawil; Kagawad Arnel Miranda of Barangay Rizal Monument; and Charles Nikko Limon of RNG Luzon.
Said operation was based on a report by a confidential informant.
5 drug personalities busted
PROCOR’s intensive effort to curb the presence of illegal drugs in the region resulted in the arrest of five (5) in separate buy-bust operations conducted in Benguet and Baguio City on October 16, 2021. They were identified as Marlouie Almonte Llarena, 32; Jefferson Pinas Garcia aka Kosil (HVI), 26; Hubert Cudli Pussan (SLI), 34; Rodler Alapit Nicer, 19; and Lloyd B Ojano, 19.
In Barangay Ferdinand, Baguio City, Llarena was arrested by joint operatives of BCPO, RID/RSOG PROCOR and PDEG SOU-14 after he sold to an operative who posed as poseur buyer one (1) sachet of suspected shabu with a total estimated weight of two (2) grams with Standard Drug Price (SDP) amounting to P13,600.00.
In Legarda, Baguio City, Nicer and Ojano were arrested by joint operatives of BCPO, RIU-14 and RECU COR after they sold to an operative acting as poseur buyer two (2) pieces transparent plastic ziplock containing suspected marijuana dried leaves weighing more or less 95 grams with SDP of Php 11,400.00.
During the course of their arrest, another two (2) pieces of plastic sachets containing suspected marijuana dried leaves weighing MOL 13 grams with SDP of Php 1,560.00 were seized from Ojana’s possession.
Meanwhile, in Mankayan, Benguet, Pussan and Garcia were arrested by joint operatives of Benguet PPO and PDEA-Benguet after an operative acting as poseur buyer was able to buy one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing MOL 0.18 grams with SDP of Php1,224.00 from them.
Moreover, during the course of their arrest, another two (2) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing MOL 0.48 grams with SDP of Php 3,264.00 were seized from their possession.
The pieces of evidence were marked and inventoried on-site in the presence of the suspects and witnessed by DOJ and media representatives and Barangay officials.**
