4 former CTG supporters surrender
Four (4) former supporters of CPP-NPA have officially withdrawn their support to the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) and surrendered to authorities in Abra and Mountain Province over the weekend.
Citing the reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, the surrender of the four (4) CTG supporters were made possible after a series of negotiations initiated by the joint operatives of Abra PPO, Mountain Province PPO, AFP, together with the barangay officials and their families.
In Manabo, Abra, a 54-year-old male and a 55-year-old male supporters of the Kilusang Larangang Gerilya (KLG) – AMPIS
(Abra, Mountain Province, Ilocos Sur) have surrendered to the operatives of Manabo MPS, Special Action Force, and Philippine Army.
In Bangued, Abra, a 54-year-old male, a supporter also of KLG AMPIS had surrendered to the operatives of RMFB15.
Meanwhile, in Bontoc, Mountain Province, a 46-year-old male has surrendered to the operatives of Bontoc MPS and the Philippine Army. He also turned over an M14 rifle with serial number 1116417, one (1) magazine, and six (6) live ammunition.
The surrenderers are now under the custody of their respective operating units for custodial debriefing, documentation, and proper disposition.
Three drug personalities busted, Php8M+ worth of MJ burned
Three (3) drug personalities were arrested and a total of Php 8,400,000.00 worth of marijuana plants were eradicated in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted by PROCOR cops in Baguio and Kalinga from January 14-17, 2022.
From the reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, the three (3) drug personalities were identified as Michael Bryan Sabado Domingo, 35; Amelyn Garcia Labasan, 29; and Jhon Paul Lattawan, 19.
In Cabinet Hill, Baguio City, suspect Domingo was arrested after he sold one (1) plastic sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less two (2) grams with a standard drug price (SDP) of Php 13,600.00 to an operative who acted as a poseur buyer.
Further, in another buy-bust operation in Barangay Burnham-Legarda, suspect Labasan was arrested after she sold one (1) plastic sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less one (1) gram and an SDP of Php 6,800.00 to an operative who acted as a poseur buyer.
In Tabuk City, Kalinga, suspect Lattawan was arrested after he sold to an operative who acted as a poseur buyer one (1) plastic sachet of suspected “shabu” with an estimated weight of 0.2 gram and an SDP amounting to Php 1,360.00.
During his arrest, another one (1) plastic sachet of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 0.2 grams and an SDP amounting to Php 1,360.00 was recovered from his possession.
The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of the respective operating units for documentation and proper disposition while the suspects will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
On another report submitted to PBGEN LEE, two (2) marijuana plantation sites were discovered in Barangay Tulgao West, Tinglayan, Kalinga.
Joint operatives of Kalinga PPO and PDEA Kalinga were able to discover 12,000 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants with an SDP of Php 2,400,000.00 and 50 kilograms of dried leaves and stalks with an SDP of Php 6,000,000.00.
All discovered marijuana plants were uprooted and burned on-site by the operatives while investigations are ongoing to identify possible cultivators of the said marijuana plantations.
Php 90M worth of MJ eradicated in Kalinga
Dubbed as “COPLAN STORM BREAKER”, operatives of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR), PNP Drug Enforcement Group (DEG), and PDEA-CAR conducted big-time marijuana eradication operations which resulted in the discovery and destruction of Php 90,000,000.00 worth of marijuana plants in Kalinga on January 18-19, 2022.
According to the reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, a total of six plantation sites were raided by the operatives in Brgy. Loccong and Brgy. Butbut Proper in Tinglayan, Kalinga.
In Barangay Loccong, operatives were able to eradicate a total of 280,000 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants (FGMJP) with a standard drug price (SDP) of Php 56,000,000.00.
Operatives also recovered a total of 150 kilos of dried marijuana leaves with an SDP of Php 18,000,000.00.
Meanwhile, in Barangay Butbut Proper, the same operatives were able to eradicate a total of 80,000 pieces of FGMJP with an SDP of Php 16,000,000.00.
In total, the operatives were able to eradicate 360,000 pieces of FGMJP with an SDP of Php 72,000,000.00 from a land area of 36,000 square meters and 150 kilos of dried marijuana leaves with an estimated SDP of Php 18,000,000.00 with an overall SDP of Php 90, 000,000.00.
All the marijuana plants were uprooted and destroyed on-site. No cultivator was apprehended during said operation, while an investigation is ongoing to identify the possible cultivators.
