Another beneficiary of Benguet
cop’s pabahay project
Another house was finally turned over to a family in Kabayan, Benguet as the 9th beneficiary of “Pabahay Handog Project of Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO)”.
Manang Janet, a 52-year-old person with a disability (PWD) and a solo parent has been chosen by Kabayan MPS as the beneficiary of their pabahay handog project.
According to Kabayan MPS, the construction of the house had started in January 2021 and was made possible through the contributions of the different community stakeholders.
After a year of hard work, the new house was officially turned over to Manang Janet in a simple house blessing and turnover ceremony graced by PLTCOL BALDWIN SOKOKEN, Deputy Provincial Director for Operations (DPDO), who represented PCOL REYNALDO DR PASIWEN, the Provincial Director of Benguet PPO; and other stakeholders.
Together with her three children, they will now be staying in the newly constructed house with two rooms, a dirty kitchen, living room, and comfort room.
Also, from the donations of private donors and personnel of Kabayan MPS they handed over kitchen utensils, one burner stove, plastic cabinet, and curtains to be used by the family in their new home.
With her new home, Manang Janet couldn’t find the right words to express her gratitude to Benguet PPO and Kabayan MPS for all the things provided to her family.
Ifugao police builds a concrete water tank for a remote community
Ifugao police officers of 1st Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) constructed a concrete water tank for the residents of Sitio Halimutok, Brgy Holowon, Lamut.
When officers visited and had a dialogue with the residents of Sitio Halimutok, some residents claimed that they have problems with the water supply as they badly needed a water tank
In response, 1st Ifugao PMFC initiated a Shoot Fest for a Cause, wherein the proceeds will be utilized to purchase the needed materials for the construction of a concrete water tank.
The Shoot Fest raised a total of Php39,000.00. Immediately, the police started the construction of the water tank in December 2021.
After more than one month of working together with the barangay officials and residents, the 6’x6’x8’ water reservoir was formally turned over to the residents of Sitio Halimutok on January 19, 2022.
Sitio Halimutok is one of the isolated areas in the municipality of Lamut and can only be reached by walking for almost one hour through a steep mountainside.
The water tank will be used by the 20 households in Sitio Halimutok.
