41 KATABIKO members wihdraw support from CTGs in MP
After a series of information awareness and negotiations, 41 members of Kasigudan Aywanan Takderan Binangun di Kabunian Organization (KATABIKO) officially withdrew their support from the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) in a ceremony held in Brgy. Bunga, Tadian, Mountain Province on January 30, 2022.
The ceremony was facilitated by the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office (MPPPO), PROCOR Regional Intelligence Division (RID), Regional Intelligence Unit- 14, the Local Government Unit of Tadian, and the Philippine Army.
As part of the program, the 41 members of KATABIKO officially took their pledge of allegiance to the government officiated by Ms. Angeline Pul-ocan, KATABIKO member followed by the reading of KATABIKO Resolution denouncing the CTG’s presence and declaring them as Persona Non-Grata.
In response, COL ANGEL I MADARANG, INF, the Deputy Brigade Commander of the 702nd Brigade of the Philippine Army, has solicited the 41 members’ support to end the 53 years of insurgency to attain thelongtime dream of a safer and better country to live in.
Meanwhile, Mr. Felizberto Matute, the Provincial Director of TESDA, has willingly offered free scholarships to be availed by the members who are interested in enrolling in different courses provided by the agency.
Further, in a message given by PCOL RUBEN B ANDISO, Provincial Director of MPPPO, he advised the 41 members to be cautious and selective in joining any organization.
PROCOR TOP COP condoles with family of Mayor Gabi
PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD O LEE, paid his last respects to the Mayor of Sadanga, Honorable GABINO P GANGGANGAN in Sadanga, Mt. Province on January 31, 2022.
Accompanying the Regional Director is the Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PBGEN LAWRENCE B COOP; the Provincial Director of Mt Province PPO, PCOL RUBEN ANDISO; and other regional staff.
The PROCOR key officers personally extended their condolences to the bereaved family of Mayor Ganggangan.
Hon. Ganggangan was known for inspiring his people through his exemplary public service and his strong opposition against the CPP-NPA-NDF by exposing their deceptive propaganda and recruitment.
In a statement, the Regional Director expressed his shock at the sudden passing of Hon. Ganggangan. He also mentioned how the former mayor actively supported and implemented programs of the government as mayor of Sadanga.
The men and women of PROCOR unite as the people of Sadanga grieve for the loss of a great leader.
3 former rebels receive
assistance from Benguet
On top of the cash aid that they will be receiving from the government under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP), three former rebels who have recently returned to the folds of the law have received financial assistance from Governor Melchor Daguines Diclas on February 2, 2022.
In a simple ceremony held at Benguet Provincial Capitol, PBGEN RONALD O LEE personally graced and witnessed the turn over of firearms and ammunition of the former rebels.
The said event was also attended by the Provincial Director of Benguet PPO, PCOL REYNALDO DR PASIWEN.
In a Facebook post of the Governor’s Office-Benguet, Gov. Diclas thanked the Philippine National Police for their continued effort for the efficient and effective implementation of the whole-of-nation approach against insurgency.
Meanwhile, PBGEN LEE commended the former rebels for their courage in returning to the folds of the law and further urged the other members and supporters of CTGs to also surrender to the authorities. **
