Individual nabbed for distributing fake drugs
A medicine distributor was arrested for possessing assorted counterfeit drugs in Mankayan, Benguet on February 23, 2022.
According to the reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, suspect Edilberto Tomenio Traboco aka Edel, 41, was arrested after a search warrant implemented in his residence resulted in the discovery of various counterfeit drugs.
Seized during the implementation of the search warrant are various brands of antibiotics, pain relievers, mucolytic, and paracetamols.
On-site inventory was conducted in the presence of the suspect and witnessed by Kag. Cesar Lokino of Brgy. Bulalacao, Mankayan, Benguet, and Mr. Joemar Sacpa, media representative.
The arrested suspect will be facing charges for Violation of RA 8203 or the Special Law on Counterfeit Drugs.
Abandoned camp found in MP
While conducting internal security operation in Mount Sipitan in Sagada, Mountain Province, operatives of Mountain Province PPO has discovered an abandoned CTG Encampment as well as several war materials and explosives on February 23, 2022.
According to the report submitted to the Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD O LEE, the joint operatives from Mt. Province PPO, and Regional Intelligence Division of PROCOR has recovered one M14 Rifle; 30 pieces of Dynamite Stick; one roll of fuse; one roll of firing wire; a 12 gauge shot cartridge; and a multi-connector.
Subversive documents, several communication devices, medicine kits, and personal belongings were also extracted from the said encampment.
The operatives searched the adjacent areas of the encampment with the assistance of the Provincial EOD and Canine Unit (PECU) for the possible recovery of other explosive devices.
5 drug personalities busted in Benguet
The series of anti-illegal drug operations conducted by the operatives of Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) had resulted in the arrest of five drug personalities in Benguet on February 22, 2022.
According to the reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, the series of anti-illegal drug operations were jointly conducted by the operatives of Benguet PPO, RID-PROCOR, and PDEA-CAR.
According to the said reports, suspect Oliver Peng-as Ansibey, 33 was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted in Buguias.
While suspects Dindo Apostol Galang, 46, and Cresilda Mabalo Babon, 59 were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted in Tuba.
In La Trinidad, a police response to a reported drug session had resulted in the arrest of Alfie Gaddi Abungan, 40, and Marlon Cunanan Manansala, 39.
In total, 7.79 grams of suspected shabu with Standard Drug Price amounting to Php 52,972.00 were seized during the operations.
All arrested suspects will be facing charges for Violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
