Sr. Police officers deployed around Cordi
To ensure that the elections in the Cordillera would proceed smoothly, PROCOR Regional Director PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE ordered the deployment of the other members of the command group and the Regional Staff as area supervisors.
Knowing that the Provincial Directors of the different PPOs and the City Director of Baguio CPO would be very busy supervising their personnel in the different parts of their areas of responsibility, PBGEN LEE employed a strategic initiative to ensure the flow of communication during election day and immediate decisions would be applied.

Meanwhile, The Deputy Regional Director for Operations, PCOL BENJAMIN DL SEMBRANO; Chief of Regional Intelligence Division, PCOL RANDOLPH B BENIAT; and Chief of Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division, PCOL CHRISTOPHER T ACOP supervised the province of Abra.
Finally, The Chief Regional Staff, PCOL ELMER E RAGAY; Chief of Regional Operations Division, PCOL SIBLY P DAWIGUEY JR.; Chief of Regional Plans and Strategy Management Division, PLTCOL VIVIAN PACLIBON; and Chief of Regional Information and Communications Technology Management Division, PCOL JESSELITO L CASTRO supervised the provinces of Benguet & Mt. Province and the City of Baguio, respectively.
Robbery suspects in Kalinga congressman’s HQ arrested
The swift action of PROCOR cops resulted in the arrest of fleeing suspects of a robbery incident at the Campaign Headquarters of Congressman Allen Jesse “Sonny” C. Mangaoang.
According to the reports reaching the PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD O LEE identified the arrested suspects as Ruben Bannas, Jil Binto, Valentin Valdez, Denmark Siag, Micahel Bista, Allan Jay Palicpic and Jeramil Pinated while the three suspects who are still at-large and the subject of manhunt operations were identified as Adso Bawas Bali-iwang, Dino Mangik, and Roy Mangik.
According to the same reports, on the evening of May 6, 2022, when the more or less ten suspects aboard two forward trucks and two motorcycles stopped in front of the Campaign Headquarters of the incumbent Congressman Allen Jesse “Sonny” C. Mangaoang.
The suspects suddenly fired gunshots into the air while the other suspects drew their firearms and approached the staff of Cong. Mangaoang then took all the folders and papers on a table including a shoulder bag of one of the victims.
Said suspects immediately fled the scene prompting the police officers of Rizal MPS to alert nearby police stations to establish checkpoint operations on all possible escape routes.
A checkpoint operation in Brgy. Nambaran, Tabuk City, Kalinga resulted in the interception of one of the trucks reportedly used by the suspects with seven individuals aboard.
Police officers of Rizal MPS together with some of the victims immediately went to the checkpoint in Brgy. Nambaran where the victims positively identified one of the men aboard the said truck as Suspect Ruben Bannas. The shoulder bag containing the personal belongings of one of the victims was also recovered inside the said truck.
The suspects are now facing charges of robbery with violence and intimidation against persons. **
