35 wanted persons apprehended
35 individuals wanted persons were arrested in a week-long intensified manhunt operation conducted by PROCOR cops from May 8 to 14 of 2022.
According to the records of the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), for the week, Baguio CPO has recorded the highest number of arrests with twenty (20) personalities arrested followed by Benguet PPO with eleven (11) arrests, and Abra PPO with four (4) arrest.
The series of manhunt operations were highlighted with the arrest of six (6) individuals listed as Most Wanted Persons– three (3) are listed at the Provincial Level, two (2) at the Municipal Level, and one (1) at the Station Level.
At the Provincial Level, Conrado Gunaden, listed as No. 2 was arrested for the crime of Statutory Rape while Gilbert Ordonio, listed as No. 8, and Edison Wabe, listed as No. 9, were both arrested for the crime of Rape.
Meanwhile, at the Municipal Level, Lopez Tayaotao and Avon Eve Ilagan both listed as No. 1 were arrested for violation of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 and Republic Act 7610 or the “Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.”, respectively.
Lastly, at the Station Level, Aljon Agustin listed as No. 8 was arrested for the crime of Theft.
47 youth finish leadership
summit in Sagada
47 youths of Sagada, Mountain Province have successfully completed the three-day Youth Leadership Summit initiated by the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office (MPPPO); 54th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army; and Bureau of Fire Protection-Sagada in partnership with the barangay officials of Ambasing and teachers of Ambasing Elementary School.
With the theme: “Moving and Empowering the youth towards Peace and Sustainable Development”, the summit was held at Ambasing Elementary School in Brgy. Ambasing, Sagada, Mountain Province.
Lectures and small group discussions on various topics affecting the youth were conducted during the program. Talent shows, team-building activities, values formation, career guidance, taebo exercises, guidon, and poster making were also conducted to reinforce the learning activities during the summit.
During the closing program, MPPPO Provincial Director, PCOL RUBEN B ANDISO graced the summit as one of the speakers.
In his message, PCOL ANDISO said that being a leader entails responsibility and that they should know their roles in nation-building.
PCOL ANDISO also mentioned that the youths should learn to be observant of what is happening in our community and help prevent evils that are terrorizing the youth.
The leadership summit aims to enhance the leadership knowledge and skills of the participants, promote camaraderie, and expand their awareness of their role in nation-building.
