The 1st Mountain Province PMFC and the Baguio CMFC were hailed as the Best Provincial and City Mobile Force Company during the 121st Police Service Anniversary celebration held at PNP Multi-Purpose Center, Camp BGen Rafael T. Crame, Quezon City on August 8, 2022.
With the theme: “Matibay na Ugnayan ng Pulisya at Mamamayan tungo sa Pagkakaisa, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran”, the momentous occasion was graced by President Ferdinand “Bong Bong” R Marcos, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
During the program, the 1st Mtn. Province PMFC and Baguio CMFC were adjudged and awarded as the Best Provincial and City Mobile Force Company. The awards were presented by Pres. Marcos and he was assisted by Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Chief PNP, PGEN RODOLFO S AZURIN Jr.
The awards were personally received by the Force Commander of the 1st Mt. Province PMFC, PLTCOL ROY AWISAN and the Force Commander of Baguio CMFC, PLTCOL RENNY LIZARDO.
Meanwhile, for the Individual Category Award, the Best Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP) for Non- Supervisory Level was awarded to NUP Mary Jean J Bañaga of the Regional Logistics and Research Development Division (RLRDD) of PROCOR.
No crime recorded in the different evacuation centers in the province of Abra
Days after the infamous earthquake, PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE reported that there is no crime recorded in the different evacuation centers in the province of Abra.
According to the data from the PROCOR Regional Operations Division (ROD), currently, there are 16 evacuation centers in Abra being occupied by 583 families consisting of 2,296 individuals.
To ensure the safety of these affected families, PROCOR has deployed 90 police officers while continuous patrol operations were being conducted in the areas vacated by these families.
“Patuloy ang ating pagpapatrolya sa mga lugar at pagbisita sa mga tahanan na pansamantalang nilisan ng ating mga kababayan upang kahit papano ay makampante sila habang sila ay nasa mga evacuation centers”, PBGEN LEE said in a statement.
Since last week, PBGEN LEE is making rounds on the different evacuation centers in Abra to personally check the actual situation on the ground.
The Police Regional Office – Cordillera is the lead of the Security, Law, and Order Cluster of the Cordillera RDRRMC.
7 drug personalitities arrested; MJ eradicated
As the result of the continuous anti-illegal drug operations in the Cordillera Region, seven (7) drug personalities were arrested and Php 2,506,000.00 worth of marijuana plants were destroyed in a weeklong operation conducted by PROCOR Cops from July 31 to August 6, 2022.
Citing the records from the PROCOR’s Regional Operations Division (ROD), for the week, Baguio CPO recorded the highest number of arrests with six (6) arrested drug personalities followed by Apayao PPO with one (1) arrested drug personality.
In Baguio City, the arrested personalities were identified as Marivic Rodriguez, 61; Cherry Alsim, 37; Carlito Javier, 43; Joel Sales, 37; Margie Maaba, 44; and Carie Maaba, 42.
In Apayao, the arrested personality was identified as Claridel Mangligot, 42.
The series of anti-illegal drug operations conducted resulted in the seizure of a total of 18.4 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price (SDP) amounting to Php 125,120.00.
All arrested suspects are now facing charges for violating RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, the continuous marijuana eradication operations being conducted by PROCOR have resulted in the destruction of a total of 12,000 fully grown marijuana plants (FGMJP) with an SDP of Php 2,400,000.00 in Kalinga.
In another operation in Benguet, a total of 480 FGMJP with an SDP of Php 96,000.00 and 250 marijuana seedlings with an SDP of Php 10,000.00 were destroyed by PROCOR operatives.**
