PROCOR top cop attends Adivay Fun Shoot 2022
PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN MAFELINO ASPERO BAZAR attended the opening ceremony of the Adivay Fun Shoot 2022 held at Camp Major Dennis Molintas Firing Range in Buguias, Benguet on November 11, 2022.
As part of the opening ceremony, a ceremonial shoot to signal the start of the event was participated by PBGEN BAZAR together with PCOL DAMIAN OLSIM, Provincial Director of Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO); PLTCOL DINO COGASI, Force Commander of 1st Benguet Police Mobile Force Company (PMFC); Governor Melchor Diclas of Benguet; and Mayor Ruben Tinda-an of Buguias.
PBGEN BAZAR in his message mentioned that the Police Regional Office Cordillera is one with the people of Benguet in celebrating the 122nd Founding Anniversary Celebration of the Province of Benguet.
“The Fun Shoot activity promotes camaraderie that is unmatched in any other sport. Here, we see each other as one… regardless of our professions and background, we go to the firing range as equals and treat each other as such. We indulge in our shooting sport because it is our passion, priceless and unjustifiable.” PBGEN BAZAR said
Furthermore, PBGEN BAZAR also expressed gratitude for the initiative of Governor Diclas and the full support of PCOL OLSIM, likewise commended the efforts of Benguet 1st PMFC personnel, led by PLTCOL COGASI, Force Commander, for organizing and making such an event possible.
In celebration of the Benguet Adivay Festival, the Fun Shoot 2022 aims to hone the shooting skills of gun enthusiasts, and also to promote camaraderie and responsible gun ownership.
37 to undergo investigors’ basic course
37 Police Commissioned Officers will attend the Investigation Officers Basic Course (IOBC) that was formally opened in a ceremony held at PROCOR Maringal Hall in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on November 11, 2022
The IOBC is a 45-day course that enables PCOs to possess advanced investigative skills that would make them competent and well-rounded PCOs in the field of detective and investigation work while possessing leadership and management skills at the same time.
The opening ceremony was graced by the PROCOR Deputy Regional Director for Operations (DRDO), PCOL RONALD V GAYO as the keynote speaker.
Present also were the Chief of the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), PCOL RANSER A EVASCO; Chief of the Regional Special Training Unit (RSTU), PCOL LEON P TALLEO; and the Chief of Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division (RLDDD), PLTCOL FERDINAND OYDOC.
In his message, PCOL GAYO emphasized the significance of continuous investigative education by participating in relevant training and workshops. He also motivated every participant to acquire and perform one of the police functions which is to investigate crimes.**
