Theft
On November 26, 2018 at about 9:14 AM, a case of theft (shoplifting) transpired inside Pacific Market Place, Lower Session Road, Baguio City. Complainant in behalf of the management is Rey Nisperos Ringor, 27, single, employed as CCTV watcher, and a resident of Purok 3 Riverside, Guisad, Baguio City while suspects were identified as Jose Abad Mendoza, 27, single, jobless; Thelma Burgos Calisagan, 50, single, jobless, and May Talisik Gonzalo, 55, single, jobless; all are residents of Togatog, Malabon City.
Investigation showed that suspects went inside Pacific Market Place posing as customers. While inside, suspect Thelma Calisagan talked with the saleslady thus distracting her attention while suspect May Gonzalo took items and hid them inside her garments while suspect Jose Mendoza served as watcher. Complainant was alarmed prompting him to leave the CCTV room and went to intercept the suspects who were able to run away leaving the items– one can (800g) of Nestle NAN Milk worth Php890.90 and one plastic bottle (400 ml) of Nivea Body Lotion worth Php280.90 at the promo area near the exit.
Complainant and companions tracked down the suspects and they were able to locate them along the City Public Market. Complainant sought police assistance from Precinct 71 and PO2 Mark Matbagan and PO2 Alvin Julian responded and arrested the suspects. Case is filing..
Direct assault upon an agent of a person in authority
On November 26, 2018 at about 8:44 a.m., a case of an direct assault upon an agent of a person in authority transpired along Post Office Loop, Salud Mitra Brgy., Baguio City on complaint of Rojones Fernandez Soronio, 29, single, employed at DOTr-Car’s Law Enforcement Service and a resident of Acop, Tublay, Benguet against the suspect identified as one Alexpander Dangsian Zarzua, of legal age, and a resident of No. 076 Purok 25, San Carlos Heights Brgy., Baguio City who allegedly punched the face of the victim.
Initial investigation revealed that the victim together with other DOTr-CAR employees while conducting random check of vehicles at the site, Soronio spotted a cab bearing license plate number AYT 612 and with trade name GTRUDES PZA with his passenger not wearing a seatbelt. At that instance, he flagged down said motor vehicle and asked for the pertinent documents of the caband discovered that said motor vehicle was not registered. While the victim was explaining his (suspect) violations, the suspect arrogantly contested these and suddenly punched the face of the victim.
Personnel of PS3, BCPO took the sworn statement of the victim for filing of the case.
Preemptive evacuation
At about 7:00 PM of Nov 24, 2018, six families were evacuated due to the cracking of soil in Sitio Tuboy, Brgy. Banawel, Natonin, Mountain Province. There were 11 houses including 5 without occupants and a total of 13 individuals affected. Most of them went to seek shelter with relatives.
Rape
On November 27, 2018 at 5:30 p.m., a case of rape was reported to PS 5, BCPO that transpired between 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on said date at No. 24 Dr. Cariño, Lower QM, Baguio City. Complainant is a 13 y/o male (name withheld) against the arrested suspect identified as Darwin Valeroso Pasana, 22, customer service representative at SITEL and a resident thereat.
Investigation disclosed that the minor complainant was inside a computer shop when the suspect sat beside him and was trying to catch his attention by touching his foot using his left foot but the complainant tried to ignore him. The former then talked to the minor complainant and invited him to his boarding house. While inside the room of the suspect, he laid down the minor complainant on his bed and sexually abused the complainant. After the incident, complainant went home and reported the incident to his mother who immediately went to the place of incident and brought the suspect to the barangay hall and then to the police station.
