TWO INDIVIDUALS WANTED FOR ROBBERY WITH HOMICIDE CAPTURED AFTER 9 YEARS OF HIDING
As the result of the intensified manhunt operations of PROCOR cops, two wanted personalities charged with the crime of robbery with homicide, who went hiding for almost nine (9) years were finally collared in Brgy. Pantukan, Compostella Valley, Davao de Oro, on April 14, 2023.
Based on the reports submitted to the PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., the arrested suspects were identified as Danny Domyong Nabulay, 43, and Rimando Domyong, 46, both natives of Mankayan, Benguet and presently residing in the said place of arrest.
Suspect Nabulay was listed as Most Wanted Person (TMWP) with Rewards under the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) or/Department of National Defense (DND) MC 2006-28 (COPLAN YALUBAN) worth Php 250,000.00.
Joint operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) of Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO), Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit (RACU) Cordillera, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) of Davao De Oro, and Pantukan Municipal Police Station (MPS), arrested the suspects by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Agapito K. Laoagan Jr. of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 64 in Buguias, Benguet on December 3, 2014.
The two suspects were among the six individuals charged with robbery with homicide after killing five (5) individuals and carting away about P14 million worth of gold bars at the Lepanto Consolidated Mining compound in 2003.
Both the accused are now under the custody of PIU Benguet for documentation and proper disposition.
101 ROOKIE COPS, FORMALLY JOIN THE CORDILLERA POLICE FORCE
Following the completion of their six-month Public Safety Field Training Program (FTP), a total of 101 new police officers from the PSFTP CL 02-2021 will now be joining the Cordillera police force.
During their graduation ceremony held at the PROCOR Masigasig Grandstand in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on April 18, 2023, the new police officers received their certificates of completion,
The ceremony was graced by PCOL JULIO S LIZARDO, PROCOR Chief Regional Staff, who represented the PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID PEREDO JR., as the keynote speaker.
Present also during the ceremony were: PCOL LEON TALLEO, the Chief of the Regional Special Training Unit (RSTU) – Cordillera; PCOL LAUDEMER LLANETA, the Chief of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division (RPRMD); PLTCOL FERDINAND OYDOC, the Officer-in-Charge of Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division (RLDDD); other police officers and the families of the graduates.
In his message, PCOL LIZARDO extended his congratulations to the new graduates for completing their six-month-long training and reminded them of what is expected to be a police officer through the three-fold agenda of the Regional Director, the DKP which stands for Dasal at Disiplina, Kakayahan, Pagmamahal at Pagtupad sa Tungkulin.
“Your training has provided you with [the] foundation from which you will draw courage and confidence to perform your duties and responsibilities… the challenges we are facing are constantly evolving — we must adapt, develop and learn to be at far with these challenges,” PCOL LIZARDO said
As the highlight of the ceremony, three (3) new police officers were given Medalya ng Papuri (PNP Commendation Medal) for their outstanding performance during the course:
1. Pat Lanilyn G. Tibangay (95.20%)
2. Pat Cristopher D. Biniahan (94.20%)
3. Pat Ryan Joseph C. Del Rosario (92.90%)%)
Also, leadership awards were given to Pat Michael P. Napa-eg Jr. who served as the Battalion Commander., while Pat Jesus II B. Ganotice received the same award for serving as the Class President. **
