PERSONALITIES NABBED
As PROCOR cops step-up its anti-illegal drugs campaign, another five (5) drug personalities were arrested after a week-long implementation of intensified anti-illegal drug operations conducted from May 7–13, 2023.
Citing the records from the PROCOR’s Regional Operations Division (ROD), a total of 13.80 grams of shabu and 5.00 ml of Dried Marijuana Oil with an overall Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 119,930.00 were confiscated from the five drug personalities.
Of the five drug personalities arrested, two (2) arrests were made by the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), two by the Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO) and one (1) in Benguet PPO.
The arrested drug personalities, identified as Joey Mingoy, 48; Jasmin Mallanes, 44; Marcelina Eugenio, 38; Ruffalyn Baculi, 31; and Eusebio Lamsis, 54, are now facing charges for violating R.A. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, in a separate anti-illegal drug operation, a total of 55, 000 pieces of Fully-Grown Marijuana Plants (FGMJP) with an overall Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 11, 000, 000.00 were discovered in Tinglayan, Kalinga. All of these illegal drugs were burned after documentation.
31 WANTED PERSONALITIES NABBED; 58 MUNICIPALITIES RECORDED ZERO CRIME INCIDENTS
Staying true to its mandate to ensure peace and order in the region and intensify its anti-criminality campaign, PROCOR cops have arrested a total of thirty-one (31) individuals wanted by the law during the week-long implementation of simultaneous manhunt operations, while fifty-eight (58) municipalities in the region have recorded zero crime incidents from May 7 to 13, 2023.
Based on the records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) recorded the highest arrest with thirteen (13) arrested individuals, followed by the Baguio City Police Office (CPO) with nine (9) arrests, Ifugao PPO with four (4) arrests, Abra PPO and Apayao PPO with two (2) arrests each, and the Kalinga PPO with one (1) arrest.
Of the arrested personalities, ten (10) individuals were listed as Most Wanted Persons (MWP); of which four (4) are listed at the Provincial Level, two (2) at the City Level, three (3) at the Municipal Level, and one (1) at the Station Level.
Meanwhile, as a result of intensified police visibility and a campaign against criminality, fifty-eight (58) municipalities in the different provinces of the region and seven (7) police stations in Baguio City remain peaceful as PROCOR recorded zero crime incidents during the same week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in twenty-five (25) out of twenty-seven (27) municipalities in Abra; five (5) out of six (6) municipalities in Apayao; eight (8) out of thirteen (13) municipalities in Benguet; nine (9) out of eleven (11) municipalities in Ifugao; five (5) out of seven (7) municipalities in Kalinga; and six (6) out of ten (10) municipalities in Mt. Province.
Further, Naguilian Police Station (PS) 1, Camdas PS2, Loakan PS4, Legarda Road PS5, Kennon Road PS8, Irisan PS9 and Marcos Highway PS10 also recorded zero crime incidents out of 10 police stations in Baguio City.
