Alleged physical injuries case
At around 05:16 AM of October 15, 2017, personnel of Luis Hora Regional Memorial Hospital, Abatan, Bauko notified personnel of Tadian MPS that one victim of alleged mauling incident was admitted at around 4:40 AM of October 15, 2017.
Personnel of Tadian MPS proceeded to the hospital and interviewed the victim identified as Jomar Accap Tammocho, male, single, 22, 3rd year BSCE student at MPSPC-Tadian Campus and caretaker of the house of Engineer Ronuldo Fattit at Egan, Poblacion, Tadian.
The victim averred that on October 14, 2017, he worked as laborer at Sitio Sagang, Poblacion, Tadian together with co-workers identified as Cliton Pangcawey, Tipen Pengo Lipas, Marlon Perez, Jumar Akilit, Amor Laguitan, Ahjhay Mosawan, Jonil Pitan, Jemae Saligen, Ark Agalpao, Glen De Guzman and the owner of the house identified as Wulber Pangcawey aka Abel. At around 5:00 PM of October 14, 2017 all of them engaged in a drinking session. After a while the victim was advised to take his dinner ahead which he obeyed and while putting rice on his plate, one male co-worker placed his hand on top of the victim’s shoulder. Suddenly another co-worker struck the victim on his head with an unidentified weapon/object making him unconscious. When the victim became conscious he noticed that his clothes were removed. He further averred that half of his body from head to hip was place inside a sack with both wrists tied behind his back. He was carried and brought to a vehicle. When the vehicle was in motion, he untied his wrist, removed the sack and jumped out specifically at sitio Ambetac, Poblacion, Tadian and hid thereat. After which, he sought medical attention at the aforesaid hospital. The victim sustained Multiple Physical Injuries secondary to mauling as per his attending physician. Victim is was confined and in stable condition. Case is still under investigation.
Arrest of a suspect in a bank robbery case
Please be informed that on October 16, 2017 at about 1:30 PM in San Vicente, Baguio City, personnel of Libmanan MPS, Libmanan, Camarines Sur led by PCI Chito Oyardo in coordination with PIDMB and PIB, Benguet PPO and La Trinidad MPS arrested Romel Bacoco Pis-ew, 32, married, driver, and a resident of No. 504 San Vicente, Baguio City as a result of a hot pursuit operation.
Initial investigation disclosed that the arrested suspect was traced as the owner of the white Toyota Grandia Van with conduction sticker YW 2546 which was allegedly involved as a getaway vehicle in a bank robbery incident at the UCPB in Bgy. Libod-1, Libmanan, Camarines Sur on October 8, 2017 between 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The suspect was positively identified by the witness. It was further disclosed that more or less P38 million (inventory is still in progress) was carted away from the said bank. Accordingly, the bank and the place where the suspects rented are located in one building. The suspects dug a hole underground which was more or less 7 meters long that became their point of entry into the bank.
Drowning incident
At Colorado Falls, Twin Peaks, Tuba, Benguet at about 1:19 PM but was only reported to the Tuba MPS at about 2:30PM of October 16, 2017, a drowning incident ocurred. Victim was identified as Brosnan Alec Nuñez, 19, 3rd year ECE student at Adamson University, Manila and a resident of UN Avenue, Manila.
Initial investigation disclosed that a group of students from Adamson University who came from Baguio City dropped by at Colorado Falls, Twin Peaks, Tuba, Benguet to swim. Victim then dived into the pool at the foot of the waterfall and failed to resurface. Rescue operation was still ongoing when this report was made..
Alleged rape
A case of alleged rape of a female minor transpired at around 5:15 PM of October 16, 2017 at No. 1A City Camp Central, Baguio City perpetrated by a male minor.
Investigation disclosed that the minor victim invited her minor friend to have a drinking session and one of their minor friends offered his apartment at Palma Urbano Barangay as venue. At around 3:30 PM of same date when they consumed about half of the Emperador, one of their friends suggested to continue their drinking session at the transient house of their minor friend at City Camp Central, Baguio City. Victim together with her friend and the suspect went to the said place and there, they continued drinking. Minutes later, victim went to the comfort room after which she laid down on the sala near the comfort room, then allegedly minor suspect went near her and let her lay on his lap then he allegedly inserted his finger in the vagina of the victim (4) four times. After which suspect brought the victim to the bedroom then locked the door and allegedly kissed her and pulled down her cycling shorts and underwear and inserted his finger in her vagina several times. Victim further claimed that her friends were knocking on the door but the suspect did not open it until the victim fell asleep. When she woke up, suspect was not already in the room then she went to the comfort room and called her friend Shan thru her cellphone. When Shan arrived, he accompanied the victim home. At around 10:00 PM of October 16, 2017, personnel of Station 5 conducted an investigation with the help of Barangay Chairman Jessie Bandiola of City Camp Central that resulted in the arrest of the suspect. Case was referred to duty inquest prosecutor Maria Lourdes Soriano and she advised that the minor suspect be referred to the Social Welfare Development Office for Intervention since he is 14 years old and, thus, has no criminal liability.
