Rape
A case of rape transpired at about 10:00 PM of February 10, 2019 along Dontogan Valley, Baguio City. The victim is a 15-year old female. The arrested suspects were identified as Cleff Jayson Semion Anatado, 20 years old, single and resident of Green Valley, Baguio City; and his 17-years old male companion.
Investigation revealed that the victim together with her friends attended and had a drinking liquor at a birthday party at Green Valley, Baguio City. When the victim decided to go home at about 10:00 PM of same date, one of her friend requested the main suspect (with his minor companion and co-suspect) who was also at the party to ferry the victim using his vehicle Toyota Revo bearing plate number XFV-656. While along th way, the suspects stopped the vehicle and raped the victim. After the incident, the suspect drove again and stopped along Dontogan street where the victim had the chance to run and seek help.
Responding personnel of PS10 arrested the suspects. The minor suspect was referred to Silungan Center (CSWDO) as per instruction of the duty social worker Shamira Daweg.
Theft
On February 9, 2019 at around 9:58 AM, a case of theft transpired at the Eurotel Baguio located in Abanao Extension, Baguio City. The victim was identified as Carlito Carrera Herreria Jr., 40 years old, with address at No. 2306 Fraser Place MLA, Valero St., Bel-Air, Makati City while the suspect was identified as Rino Cruz Rodriguez, 38 years old, with address at No. 439 Federico St., Aurea Village, Subic, Baliuag, Bulacan, and both were billeted at the place of incident.
Initial investigation disclosed that at around 8:00 AM of same day, the victim parked his Toyota Fortuner bearing plate no. NBA 9167 at the parking area located at the basement of the said hotel. At around 12:30 PM of same day, the victim discovered that the rearview camera of his car was missing. Based on the CCTV footage, the suspect stole the rearview camera while the victim was inside his room.
Personnel of PS7, BCPO tried to locate the suspect but he already checked out at around 12:00 NN of same day. A case of theft is being prepared against him..
Transporting illegal lumber
Policemen arreted four individuals for transporting illegally cut pine lumber over the weekend.
Operatives of Bontoc Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested Barny Lapaan Fang-asan, 25, driver of a Ford Fiera with plate number ACS 768, and his passengers Agustin Madkil Arukod, 35, Daniel Madkil Arukod, 41, Marvin Pachao Padnga-a, 28, all laborers and natives of Dalican, Bontoc, Mountain Province.
Said individuals were nabbed in a checkpoint after they were flagged down along Poblacion, Bontoc, Mountain Province on the night of February 10, 2019.
The vehicle was loaded with illegal lumber and the occupants failed to show pertinent documents which led to their arrest.
Moreover, 33 pieces of abandoned assorted lumber were confiscated by members of the 3rd Provincial Maneuver Force Company (PMFC), Mtn. Province PPO and members of the CENRO on the afternoon of February 9, 2019.
Ten (10) pieces of Guijo lumber were confiscated in Sitio Baay, Barangay Bacarri while 23 pieces of “Binuang” lumber were also confiscated in Sitio Katubangan, Palitod, all in Paracelis, Mountain Province.
Said lumber have a total volume of 521.66 board feet with an estimated market value of Php14,835.82.
