Theft of domestic animals
At about 3:00 PM of March 3, 2019, Barangay Captain Jovito Valenzuela of Sto. Domingo, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao called the PNP hotline of Alfonso Lista MPS informing that they arrested a suspect who was caught in the act of pulling three (3) goats from the pen owned by Edgar Dela Cruz Sr. y Viernes, 48, married, farmer, a resident of said barangay.
Initial investigation disclosed that the owner of said goats ordered his son Edgar Dela Cruz Jr. y Barcena to visit their goats at their pen approximately 200 meters away from their house when his son Edgar Jr saw a man pulling the ropes of their three (3) goats being followed by other goats heading to his blue STX Yamaha tricycle with blue sidecar without plate number parked near the goat pen. Edgar Jr. is about to confront the suspect but ran towards the household area of Barangay Sto. Domingo. Mr. Edgar Jr. informed his father and they reported the incident to the duty barangay officials that resulted in the arrest of the suspect at about 2:50 p.m. of March 3, 2019 who is about to hire a tricycle going to Isabela. Responding policemen received the suspect from the arresting barangay officials who was identified as RENE CABANILLA y AMARGA, 44, married, driver, a resident of Curifang Block 6, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya. Suspect and his motorcycle are now in the custody of Alfonso Lista MPS. Case was ready for filing..
Vehicular accident
At around 3:50 p.m. of March 1, 2019, a call was received by Itogon MPS regarding a vehicular traffic accident that transpired at Crosby Park, Virac, Itogon, Benguet involving a PUJ with plate number AYN 622, Baguio-Acupan route, owned by William Tabcao and driven by Clifton Gano Paulo, 42, married, and a resident of San Luis Village, Baguio City.
Investigation disclosed that the PUJ fetched 20 grades 7 and 8 students of the University of Baguio High School from a camping activity at Grosby Park, Virac, Itogon, Benguet. It appears that while said PUJ was descending at the park’s one-way access road and was trying to give way to upcoming vehicles by swerving to the left. However, its front left wheel climbed the mountain slope causing it to overturn and fall on its right side along the road. As a result, six passengers were injured and were confined at Saint Louis Hospital in Baguio City while the rest were discharged after given treatment:

Parricide
On or about 3:00 p.m. of March 4, 2019, personnel of Tabuk CPS proceeded to Kalinga Provincial Hospital to investigate a reported vehicular traffic incident that happened at Mapaoay Ipil, Tabuk City, Kalinga. During the investigation, Jaybie Tamayao Andam, 25, married, laborer and a resident of Cabaruan, Tabuk City, Kalinga presented himself and reported that his wife Veronica Ancheta Andam, 28, was hit by an unidentified vehicle.
Investigation disclosed that at about 10:00 a.m. of March 4, 2019, Gregorio Bactad Andres, 63, married, driver by profession and a resident of Bado Dangwa, Tabuk City, Kalinga, was driving his vehicle towards Dumpsite, Bado Dangwa, Tabuk City, Kalinga, when he spotted a man seated at the side of the road particularly at FF Cruz, Tabuk City, Kalinga with a woman lying on his lap, who was apparently injured. Mr. Andres stopped and gave assistance then brought the two to Kalinga Provincial Hospital. Veronica Ancheta Andam was declared dead on arrival (DOA) by the attending physician. Due to the inconsistency of his statements, Mr. Andam is now under investigation as he claimed that he was not with the victim when she was found by Mr. Andres. He was however positively identified and pinpointed by Mr. Andres that he was the lone companion of the victim.
Police personnel were able to locate the blood splattered on the riprap near the area where the couple was found. Kalinga Provincial Crime Laboratory personnel was requested to conduct crime scene investigation. The suspect is now under the custody of Tabuk CPS and a case of parricide is being prepared against him.**
