Six suspects and 3 minors held for drugs and gambling
Five drug suspects and four gamblers landed in jail after they were separately nabbed in a series of police operations.
Operatives of Bangued Police Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) arrested four persons after a concerned citizen informed the police of an ongoing pot session at Beneza Compound, Zone 1, Bangued, Abra on the afternoon of September 2, 2019.
Arrested were identified as Jewel Daipan Guinay, 20, a resident of Zone 1, Bangued, Abra, and three minors aged 17 and 16 all ALS students and residents of Bangued, Abra. Also seized were one small transparent cellophane containing suspected marijuana, assorted drug paraphernalia, and 4 cellular phones.
In another operation, a drug suspect identified as Reynaldo Rosario Pensayo, 47, tricycle driver and a resident of Sitio Banbani, Brgy. Padangitan, Danglas, Abra was arrested in a buy-bust operation on the early morning of September 3, 2019 at Rizal St., Zone 7, Bangued, Abra by joint personnel of Bangued police, DEU personnel of Abra PPO, RID PROCOR, RIU 14 and PDEA Abra. Evidence confiscated in his possession were two transparent heat sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, Php1, 000 boodle money, drug paraphernalia, one keypad Nokia cellphone, one lighter, and one folded knife.
Further, four bettors were arrested at Yenyen Billiard Hall located in Gusaran, Camp 6, Tuba, Benguet on the morning of September 1, 2019 by the joint personnel of Tuba police and Intelligence personnel of Benguet PPO.
Arrested gamblers were identified as Jimly Pago, 28; Alex Tao-ey, 30; Jerry Liclic, 56; and Clifford Dasing, 35; all residents of Gusaran, Camp 6, Tuba Benguet. Confiscated evidence were P380.00 bet money and mahjong paraphernalia.
Robbery
At around 11:00 AM of September 5, 2019 at No. 55 Lower Atok Trail, Baguio City personnel of Police Station 9, Baguio arrested Jonathan Coliplip Natiguing by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Jorge S Manaois Jr. of RTC, Branch 10, La Trinidad, Benguet for robbery with violence against or intimidation of a person in Criminal Case No. 19-CR-12961 with a bail of Php120,000.
Rape
At about 4:00 PM of September 5, 2019, in Tagumpay, Little Tadian, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao, personnel of Alfonso Lista MPS, Ifugao PPO arrested Jerberson Parungao Zamora by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Rufus G Malecdan of RTC Branch 15, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao for rape in relation with RA 7610 in Criminal Case No. 885-19 and 886-19 with no bail.
