14 arrested, P780k marijuana seized
Fourteen (14) individuals were arrested and Php780,000 worth of marijuana leaves were confiscated during the conduct of the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) on October 21-25, 2019.
In Baguio City, seven individuals were separately arrested as the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) initiated drug buy bust operations. On October 21, 2019, Roderick Corpuz Carisma was arrested beside the skating rink at Burnham Park while Ariel Malabed Pescador, 19, was arrested along Mission Road, Bakakeng Central. Misuari P. Bara-acal aka Opaw, 39, was arrested along Sunshine Park on October 23, 2019. The following day, October 24, 2019, Jhon Carlo Abuan Caridad Aka Carlo Jay Carreon, 25, and Jomar Hermosa Villanueva, 26, were arrested along Access Rd, Old Lucban, Happy Homes. Three more drug suspects were separately apprehended on October 25, 2019– Christopher Agilando, who was arrested at MH Del Pilar, Burnham while Jomar Navarro Gamboa and Kenneth Marana Natividad were arrested along Paraan Street, Barangay Victoria Village, Baguio City.
During the entire operation, a total of five (5) sachets of suspected shabu, Php4,000.00 buy-bust money, Php2,000.00 boodle money, other drug paraphernalia, and Yamaha Mio motorcycle were confiscated from the suspects.
In the province of Benguet, police caught Ryan Cabinta Lino in Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet on October 21, 2019 while Carmenchu Milagros Salvador, a.k.a. “Cheche” was arrested at Galiega Building and Alfredo Milagros Salvador, Jr. a.k.a. “Bojong” was arrested at Zandro Bentadan Building, both in Abatan, Buguias Benguet during the implementation of asearch warrant on October 22, 2019. A total of 14 sachets of suspected shabu, Php1,000.00 cash and other drug paraphernalia were seized from the suspects.
Finally, three more individuals were arrested in the provinces of Ifugao and Kalinga. Two Eritrean nationals who are students identified as Saffi Mohamednur, 28, presently residing at Veraville, Las Pinas City and Negash Abede Natnael, 23, a resident of Leveriza St., Asiawealth, Pasay City were both arrested at Poblacion West, Lamut, Ifugao on October 22, 2019. While Jovenal Linggayo Banisal was arrested in Purok 2, Bulanao Norte, Tabuk City, Kalinga on October 25, 2019. Confiscated from the two foreigners were six (6) elongated rolls of dried marijuana leaves wrapped with a brown packing tape weighing more or less 6.5 kilos with DDB value of PhP780,000.00, while two (2) plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and Php2,000.00 buy bust money were seized from Banisal.
P1M marijuana burned
In two days of massive marijuana eradication in Benguet on October 21-22, 2019, a total of 4,394 seedlings and 375 fully grown marijuana plants worth Php250,760.00 were uprooted in a 804 square meter area in Tacadang, Kibungan Benguet.
In Kalinga, a total of 4,000 fully grown marijuana plants worth Php800,000.00 were also uprooted in a 500 square meter land at Barangay Butbut Proper, Tinglayan, Kalinga on October 26, 2019.
All the MJ plants were burned onsite.
2 of Cordi’s top most wanted and 69 others arrested
Charged for the crime of rape with no bail recommended, the No.9 Ten Most Wanted Person (TMWP), Oliver Langpawen Falancy , a residnt of Sebang, Buguias, Benguet was arrested in Sitio Bengbeng, Bangao, Buguias, Benguet on October 4, 2019, while Orlando Daluyon Bidoc, the No. 10 TMWP and a resident of San Gregorio Luna, Apayao was arrested in Sitio Mountain, San Gregorio, Luna, Apayao on October 21, 2019.
Benguet Police Provincial Office (BPPO) scored anew this month for arresting three of the provincial TMWPs with no bails recommended.
Ranked as No.3 TMWP, Dixie Baw-an Lalong was arrested along KM 5, La Trinidad, Benguet on October 25, 2019; No.4 TMWP, Rico B. Paraiso, was arrested at Bangot, Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya on October 21, 2019 for statutory rape; while the No. 10 TMWP Marcelo Casaldo Cambato was arrested at Dagadag, Balili, Mankayan, Benguet on the same date.
In the municipal level, Barnabas F. Alinao, the No.1 TMWP of Tabuk City, charged for the crime of murder was captured at Maswa, Basao, Tinglayan on October 25, 2019; Glen Tacio Dang-owan, the No. 5 TMWP of Buguias, Benguet, charged for Violation of RA 7610 was also arrested in Poblacion, Mankayan, Benguet on October 21, 2O19; while the No. 1 TMWP of La Trinidad MPS known as Ceasar Pagian Lordios was arrested for Qualified Theft on October 22, 2019 at KM. 5, La Trinidad Benguet. Alinao and Lordios have no bail recommended while Dang-owan has a recommended bail of Php80,000.00.
63 other wanted persons were arrested in the different parts of the region for committing various crimes. Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) bested all the PPOs for recording the most accomplishment with 22 arrests, followed by Benguet PPO with 17 arrests, then Kalinga and Abra PPO with 6 arrests each, and Apayao, Ifugao and Mtn. Province with 4 each..**
