Shooting incident
At about 11:00 PM of November 25, 2019, a shooting incident transpired at Aguinaldo Drive, Kias, Baguio City wherein the victim was identified as Johnherr Danang Omle, 50, taxi driver.
Initial investigation revealed that the victim’s taxi was being followed by a jeepney driven by Julius D. Wakit along Aguinaldo Drive, who then decided to overtake. Upon overtaking, he noticed that the victim was already leaning on his right-side unconscious while the taxi kept on moving slowly. He then alighted from his jeepney and took over the steering wheel of the victim’s taxi and brought him to Baguio General Hospital for treatment. Victim suffered 2 gunshot wounds on his chest that resulted in his death.
Robbery
At about 10:20 AM of November 25, 2019 at Longlong, Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet, police officers arrested Geral T. Bawas (Acetylene Gang member) by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Judge Joselita P. Tamaray of MTCC, Branch 2, Lucena City for robbery docketed as Criminal Case No. 1884-19 with a bail of Php200,000.00. He was brought to La Trinidad MPS for proper disposition prior to turnover to the said court.
Eight charged for illegal drugs
The serving of search warrants and the conduct of buy bust operations as part of the anti-criminality drive against illegal drugs yielded eight drug suspects.
Two high value targets were arrested after assorted drugs were seized and recovered in their respective residences on account of search warrants..
Elpidio B. Acosta, 56, was arrested at Sitio Linasin, Zone 1, Bangued, Abra on the morning of November 25, 2019 while Brandon C. Gaddaoan, 38, was arrested at Barangay Naguillan, Sallapadan, Abra in the morning of November 22, 2019. During the operations, 15 pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia were recovered from their possession.
Meanwhile, five persons were apprehended while two minors were taken into custody after they sold sachets of suspected shabu to an operative who posed as buyer during a buy bust operation.
Alfredo Tablada Depollo a.k.a “Lovely Depollo” aka “Tweetie”, 39, and a resident of Gibraltar, Baguio City was arrested at Maharlika Livelihood Complex, Abanao St., Baguio City on the afternoon of November 22, 2019 while Michael Fulgencio Cerezo, 40, and a resident of Kayang Hilltop, Baguio City was arrested inside D’ Winers Bar, Kayang-Hilltop, Baguio City on the night of November 20, 2019. Confiscated and recovered from their possession were four (4) sachets of suspected shabu, Php2,000.00 buy-bust money and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Moreover, two more high value targets identified as Wensley E. Camora, 39, driver and Darwin E. Camora, 37, helper, both residents of Bahong, La Trinidad, Benguet were arrested at Talingting, Pagal, Shilan, La Trindad, Benguet on the afternoon of November 21, 2019. Recovered and confiscated from their possession were five (5) plastic sachets of suspected shabu, Php2,000.00 buy bust money, Php14,000.00 boodle money and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Furthermore, two minors, both residents of Bangued, Abra were taken into custody at Zone 6, Bangued, Abra on the evening of same date. Recovered and confiscated evidence were three (3) plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; Php3,000.00 boodle money; Php120.00 cash, an I PHONE 5 and assorted drug paraphernalia.
