Notorious drug pusher falls in La Trinidad buy-bust A notorious drug distributor and a high-value target finally landed in jail after being arrested in a buy-bust operation for selling drugs to an undercover police officer. Rochester Chayao Dagiw-a, a.k.a BETYENG, 33, a native of Buguias, Benguet and a resident of Buyagan, Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet was caught at Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet on the afternoon of December 16, 2019. It was circulating in the social media lately where residents were calling the attention of the police of Benguet and clamoring for the arrest of the suspect as he was allegedly using minors in schools to distribute drugs in the area. Acting on the netizen complaints, Benguet Police Provincial Office initiated a surveillance and eventually, a buy-bust operation was conducted. Dagiw-a did not resist arrest during the operation as he was trapped. Joint personnel of Benguet Provincial Intelligence Branch, La Trinidad MPS Drug Enforcement Unit and members of the Regional Intelligence Division who arrested Dagiw-a seized one (1) heat-sealed suspected shabu, Php1,000.00 buy-bust money and one (1) keypad Samsung cellular phone. Investigation revealed that Dagiw-a was indeed selling illegal drugs in La Trinidad, and other parts of Benguet and he had been using students in his operation. Violation of RA7076 At about 6:15 AM on December 15, 2019, at Cabatuan, Colalo, Mankayan, Benguet, personnel of Mankayan MPS were conducting mobile patrol when they spotted a blue Isuzu Elf bearing plate No. XKF 150 parked beside the road containing suspected sacks of tailings. Patrolling personnel confronted the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Michael Baniaga Toyoken, and asked for a permit to transport the tailings but he failed to present any. So he was arrested and the truck and cargo confiscated. Violation of RA10591 (SW) On December 15, 2019 at around 10:00 a.m. in Mansoyosoy, Catlubong, Buguias, Benguet, joint personnel of Buguias MPS, CIDG-Benguet, PIB Benguet and Benguet PMFC, implemented Search Warrant No. 19-SW-007 issued by Judge Daniel Dazon Mangallay of RTC Branch 64, Abatan, Buguias, Benguet for Violation of RA 10591 that resulted in the arrest of Linggo Pandaki Pallay and confiscation of one (1) Cal. 45, 2 magazines and 26 live ammo for the same firearm. Violation of RA10591 and threat On December 15, 2019 at around 4:00 p.m., in Purok 6, Adiwang Road Dontogan, Baguio City, personnel of Police Station 10, Baguio CPO arrested Andres Vallejo Paloga, based on the complaint of his sister Maria Cristina Vallejo Paloga. Initial investigation disclosed that a heated argument between the suspect and the complainant transpired wherein the suspect brought out a Cal .38 revolver and pointed it to the complainant. Arrested person and the confiscated firearm were brought to Police Station 10 Baguio CPO for documentation and proper disposition. Rape (TMWP Provincial Level, 4th Quarter 2019) At about 1:45 PM of December 15, 2019, in Sitio Toayong, Barangay Butac Aguinaldo, Ifugao, personnel of Aguinaldo MPS served the Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon Judge Rufus G Malecdan Jr of RTC Branch 15, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao against Virgilio Calderon Palaruan Jr (No 7 TMWP Provincial Level, 4th Quarter 2019) for Rape under Criminal Case No. 805-17 with no bail.
