7 caught in a drug session, P299k marijuana plants uprooted
Buguias police caught seven individuals while having a pot session in a shanty in Cayapas, Baculongan Sur, Buguias, Benguet on the night of January 30, 2020.
Apprehended were all farmers: Amado Olsino Dolinen, 39 and July Dominguez Manuel, 33, both residents of Cayapas, Baculongan Sur, Buguias, Benguet; Menandro Kiblasen Pa-Ay, 29 and Paul Bolinto Mitas, 20, both residents of Obanga, Baculongan Sur, Buguias, Benguet; Elvis Kiblasen Mocate, 30 and Enan Buteng Batio-An, 23, both residents of Paing, Baculongan Sur, Buguias, Benguet; and Eldito Bateng-An Alicwadey, 32, a native of Pokukan, Tinoc, Ifugao and a resident of Mankayan, Benguet. Confiscated from them were 12 sachets of suspected shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, a total of P299k worth of fully grown marijuana plants were uprooted and destroyed in Kibungan, Benguet during a three-day marijuana eradication operation.
Operating troops of Benguet PMFC, in coordination with PDEA CAR had uprooted a total of 1,346 fully grown marijuana plants worth Php149,000.00 cultivated on a 380 square meter land in Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet on January 27 and 28, 2020.
In another marijuana operation held in Palina, Kibungan, Benguet, 2,096 fully grown marijuana plants were also uprooted by the joint operatives of Kibungan police, PIB and PDEU- Benguet PPO, and PDEA-CAR. These were planted on a 530 square meter land with a total dangerous drugs board value of Php150,000.00.
6 jailed for drugs, almost 885k worth of marijuana plants and bricks seized and destroyed
Combined operatives of the police and PDEA arrested Mark Airone Arevalo Joya, 26, a resident of Lontoc, Timalan, Balsahan, Naic, Cavite at the National Rd, Purok 5, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga on the afternoon of February 6, 2020 for possession of illegal drugs. Confiscation from him were four marijuana bricks and three tubular form packages full of MJ with a Dangerous Drug Board value of Php484,680.00.
In a successive separate buy-bust operation, Aaron Joel Sapon Estrada a.k.a Aron and Angelo E Gaspar were arrested at Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet on the morning of February 7, 2020. Seized from them were six plastic sachets of shabu, Php1,000.00 buy-bust money, and one cellphone.
Other suspects arrested were Jefferson Pacio Damilo, 28, driver and a resident of Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet who was caught at Poblacion, Buyagan, La Trinidad, Benguet while C-J Gongob Baggas, 19, tricycle driver and a resident of Aciga, Pinukpuk, Kalinga was apprehended in front of the NIA Office National Road along P6, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga. One sachet of suspected shabu, one Samsung cellular phone, Php1,000.00 cash money, and Php3,000.00 buy-bust money were confiscated from Damilo while one plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, Php1,000.00 cash money, Php1,500.00 boodle buy-bust money and one (1) unit Huawei Gold cellphone were also recovered and confiscated from Baggas.
Police officers while serving a search warrant, arrested Henry De Vera, at Brgy. San Vicente, Baguio City on February 3, 2020 where two sachets of suspected shabu, Php6,000.00 boodle money, and one cellular phone were confiscated from him. **
