Civilian info yields P7.8M MJ
Immediate response to a civilian tip-off led to the discovery of P7.8M worth of dried marijuana bricks and tubes ready for transport in Rizal, Kalinga, July 14, 2021.
Joint elements of Kalinga PPO; RID-COR; RIU-14, RMFB15 and PDEA Kalinga immediately established checkpoints and dispatched tracker teams after receiving the tip-off.
While manning a checkpoint, operatives received another call from a concerned citizen regarding the presence of three (3) marijuana sacks hidden underneath a concrete sewer along the Barangay Road at Sitio Anonang, Liwan West, Rizal, Kalinga.
Upon arrival at the place, operatives discovered three (3) abandoned sacks containing fifty-three bircks of dried marijuana leaves and stalks and twenty-four (24) pcs tubular packs. These all weighed 65.3 kilograms with Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php7,836,000.
These were inventoried and documented on-site witnessed by Melissa Guavez, media representative; Bernadette Malayao,DOJ representative and Punong Barangay, Obdulla D. Antonio.

P640K MJ plants destroyed
As part of the continuous measures to stop marijuana cultivation in the province, Benguet police conducted again a marijuana eradication operation in the communal forest at Sitio Payakpakan, Badeo, Kibungan, Benguet, July 11, 2021.
The operation was launched by joint elements of 1st Benguet PMFC; PIU; Kibungan MPS; RIU-14, and RID PROCOR.
They discovered a total of 3,200 pcs of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants (FGMJP) with Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 640,000.00 planted in an estimated land area of400 sqm.
Discovery of the said plantation, stemmed from a report given by intelligence officers. All the plants were uprooted and burned on-site after documentation, while further investigation is being conducted to identify the cultivators.**
