PROCOR honors outstanding personnel and unit
Eight personnel of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) have been awarded with PNP medals while a unit was awarded a certificate of recognition during the traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad Benguet, on August 2.
Medalya ng Kagalingan (PNP Medal of Merit) was awarded to PCOL REYNALDO PASIWEN and PLTCOL JOSHUA ALEJANDRO, for the successful conduct of Oplan “DOTHRAKI”, counter insurgency operation and the retrieval of several firearms, grenade and ammunition in Brgy. Nabuangan and Brgy. Isidro, Lebang, Conner Apayao.
Also, Medalya ng Pagtulong sa Nasalanta (Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Medal) were awarded to Pat Romar Doral and Pat Noel Pangilinan for their dedication, commitment and outstanding performance of duty in the rescue operation of the passengers and driver of a taxi that was crushed due to the recent typhoon Fabian at Camp 8, Kennon Rd. Baguio City.
Moreover, Medalya ng Kasanayan (PNP Efficiency Medal) was awarded to PCOL JOHN CHUA for his excellent supervision and significant contributions to the Cordillera JRTF-ELCAC OPCEN, which garnered the Best Performing Operation Center Nationwide for the first semester CY 2021. Same award was given to PLTCOL SIBLY DAWIGUEY JR for serving as the head secretariat.
Similarly, Medalya ng Kasanayan was also awarded to PBGEN LAWRENCE COOP, for his valuable services rendered as Chairman of the PROCOR Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board. His professionalism and high sense of responsibility greatly contributed in the attainment of the administrative thrust of the PNP. Same award was given to NUP Robilyn Rojas as the Head Secretariat.
Meanwhile, Certificate of Recognition was given to the Regional Medical and Dental Unit (RDMU), received by PCOL GERALDINE ADANGLAO, Chief RDMU, for being the cleanest office during the inspection conducted in line with the Intensified Cleanliness Policy.
Ifugao PPO recognize and KKDAT members during 26th PCR month
Ifugao Police Provincial Office culminated the 26th Police Community Relations (PCR) month celebration by recognizing stakeholders and KKDAT members through a simple ceremony held at Ifugao PPO, Camp Joaquin P Duncan, Lagawe, Ifugao on July 30.
With the theme “Pulisya at Pamayanan: BARANGAYanihan sa Hamon ng Pandemya at Laban sa Krimen”, the month-long celebration aimed to strengthen synergistic partnership between the police and all sectors of the community in mitigating the effects of the global health crisis and in curbing all types of criminality, illegal drugs, corruption and terrorism.
Provincial Director, PCOL DAVID D MARIANO hosted the event having Ms. Leticia G Ngipol, Director of Riverview Polytechnic and Academic School. Inc, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
As the highlight of the event, PCOL MARIANO together with NAPOLCOM Officer Atty. Belen Tayaban awarded deserving individuals and organizations who have immensely contributed and participated as prime movers in the success of PCR programs and activities in the Province.
Awardees during the event were the winners of the Sining ng Bayanihan Contest presented by Ifugao Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terrorismo (KKDAT) members; Ifugao Volunteer Organization (IVO); Ifugao Youth Association (IYA); Ifugao Gateway Eagles Club and Mr. Merjan P. Hambon, owner of General Construction.
Ms. Ngipol in her statetment lauded Ifugao PNP in championing synergistic partnership with the community which resulted in close-knit collaboration and cooperation in addressing peace and order. Also, she commended all awardees for their selfless service amidst the pandemic and the crucial role they played specially by putting their lives on the line just to keep everyone safe.
Kalinga cops destroy P5.2-M worth MJ
Police officers in Kalinga discovered two more plantation sites on the mountainous area in Brgy. Butbut Proper, Tinglayan, Kalinga and had destroyed PHP5.2 million worth of marijuana there on July 29.
Units of Kalinga PPO; RIU-14; RID and PDEA Kalinga, as part of their continuous marijuana eradication operations, discovered the two plantation sites.
Site 1 had 6,000 fully grown marijuana plants (FGMJP) with Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PHP 1,200,000.00, while Site 2 had 20,000 FGMJP with SDP of PHP 4,000,000.00.
In total, the operatives had uprooted and burned 26,000 FGMJP worth PHP 5,200,000.00 which were cultivated on a 2,600 square meter land.
