Three drug personalities nabbed
The anti-illegal drugs operatives of the Police Regional Office- Cordillera and with the coordination to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-CAR), three suspects for selling illegal drugs were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted at around 6:00 PM on September 15, 2017 at JF 54 Toyong, Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet .
Arrested suspects were Kristian Maddang Geston , 25 , married, laborer, and presently residing in Shamolog, Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet; Rommel Lingas De Mesa, 40, married, laborer, native of Mindoro, and presently renting in JF 54 Toyong, Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet; and Jeef Santiago Baniqued, 28, single, porter, native of Santiago City, Isabela, and presently renting in Cogcoga, Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Seized from their possession were the following:
– 21 heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance,
– 4 white transparent plastic sachets with residue
– 1 sling bag colored red
– Php1,000.00 bill buy bust money
– Php1,600.00 cash
– 2 used aluminum foil,
– 2 blue lighter,
– 1 improvised tooter,
– 1 black Samsung keypad cellphone,
– 1 CKK black keypad cellphone;
– 1 Nokia cellphone.
The onsite inventory of the said buy bust operation were conducted in the presence of Barangay Kagawad Virginia Fianza, media representative Jorton Campana, and PDEA Agent George Bunaguen.
A case for Violation of Republic Act 9165, the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being filed against them.
Violation of RA 9262
A Violation of RA 9262 (abuse against a woman)was reported at the Sta. Marcela MPS at around 9:30 PM of September 16, 2017 thru a cell phone call by the victim, Mrs. Edna Pacis Guiang, 45 years old, married, housewife and the suspect was her husband, Edwin Urayani Guiang, 46 years old, married, farmer, both residents of Brgy. Panay, Sta. Marcela, Apayao.
Investigation disclosed that the suspect arrived home while under the influence of liquor and had a heated argument with the victim. After which, the suspect tried to slap the victim’s face but the latter was able to avoid it, then the suspect kicked her abdomen prompting the victim to report the said incident to the Sta Marcela MPS. Further, the victim averred that she was being physically abused by her husband whenever he was drunk.
The suspect was arrested and brought to Sta. Marcela District Hospital for medical examination and subsequently brought to Sta Marcela MPS for proper disposition of the case. Documents are being prepared for the filing of the appropriate case/s.
Robbery incident
A robbery with intimidation transpired at around 9:30 PM September 18, 2017 in Sitio Nansuso barangay Bacarri, Paracelis, Mountain Province wherein the victim was Aleksei Zazaev y Andrevich, 52, married, Russian national, and a resident thereat who was robbed at gun point by four (4) unidentified men.
Initial investigation disclosed that the victim and his wife were about to sleep when the suspects knocked at the door of their sari-sari store. When the victim opened the door of the house one of the suspects pointed a gun at him then struck him on the forehead. The four suspects entered the house took one (1) wrist watch (gold plated), one (1) backpack with pouch containing PhP35,000.00, one (1) chainsaw and three (3) cellular phones.
The suspects fled towards Kalinga province on board two motorcycles and one vehicle (van). The victim was brought to Paracelis District Hospital for medication.
Robbery with homicide
On September 19, 2017 at around 5:45 PM, a case of robbery with homicide transpired at Lot 1 Block 3, Phase 1, Richview Square Subdivision, Bakakeng Norte/Sur, Baguio City as reported by Dr. Emily Grace Teodoro Estares, 49, and a resident of the above stated place. The victim is identified as Lourdes Abalos Teodoro, 77, and a resident at said place.
Investigation disclosed the victim’s daughter Dr. Emily Grace Teodoro Estares came home and discovered the incident at about 5:45 PM on September 19, 2017. She further claimed that their master’s bedroom was ransacked and the initial items stolen were jewelries amounting to five hundred thousand pesos (Php. 500,000.00) and cash amounting to twenty five thousand pesos (Php. 25, 000.00) which were all taken from the master’s bedroom. The possible entrance and exit was at the second floor backdoor which was left open.
