Have you ever “sensed” someone is behind you even if you didn’t see or touch that person or hear her or him coming? This is your energy body interacting with the energy body of another person.
Every person has an energy body and a physical body. The energy body or aura is integrated in the physical body and stretches beyond the skin enveloping the physical body like an invisible bubble. The energy body can extend several inches or even a few feet beyond the skin. So when someone enters this invisible bubble around you, your energy field can pick up their presence even before your conscious mind does. Notice how you can sense good vibes when someone comes near you or bad vibes in the room?
This energy body is also called energy field or life energy and we will use these terms interchangeably. This life energy is also known as “prana” (from the Sanskrit word for life force) and called by other names in other languages like “chi” in Chinese and “ki” in Japanese.
This invisible layer of life force is where Pranic healing works.
Just like our physical body can get dirty and sick, so can our energy body become “dirty”, congested or imbalanced which can eventually present as physical ailments, emotional and mental disturbances. What can adversely affect our energy body? The following:
1. Negative emotions – anger, fear, anxiety, guilt, resentment, jealousy, envy, and similar strong negative emotions. Holding on to these emotions or being constantly surrounded by them can congest the energy body.
2. Negative thoughts and mental stress – repetitive negative thinking, overthinking, self-doubt can lead to confusion, depression or mental fatigue.
3. Unhealthy physical habits – poor diet, lack of sleep, substance abuse, lack of exercise .
4. Toxic environments – being in places with low energy like hospitals, cemeteries, polluted areas; places with a lot of sadness or anger, crowded places filled with emotional tension like angry crowds or highly stressful workplaces.
5. Negative interactions with people – constant exposure to emotionally draining or toxic individuals (sometimes called “energy vampires”); even a heated argument can “stick” to your energy field if not cleared.
6. Media and information overload – constant exposure to negative news, violent movies or stressful content on social media. Your energy body, just like your mind, absorbs the quality of what you consume- not just food but also information.
7. Unresolved trauma – past emotional or physical traumas can leave deep energy scars.
8. Lack of spiritual hygiene – just like the physical body needs regular bathing, the energy body needs regular cleansing. So practice prayer and meditation, gratitude, breathing exercises, energy cleansing or regular Pranic Healing, salt baths with lavender or other natural essential oils.
Pranic Healing is a no-touch, non-invasive healing technique that uses life energy to bring about healing and wellness. It works by cleansing the energy body, removing negative or diseased energy, and then energizing it with fresh prana from the Divine. This helps the body heal itself faster. Note that Pranic Healing harnesses the built-in healing power of the body.
Sessions last 30 to 60 minutes and are done while you are sitting or lying down, fully clothed. There is a Pranic Healing Center in Baguio City.
A Filipino of Chinese descent, Grand Master Choa Kok Sui is the founder of Modern Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga. Accordingly, he developed Pranic Healing with the vision that people will be empowered to heal themselves and others and live lives of service, compassion and inner development. So much needed at these present times of overwhelming corruption!
