PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., randomly inspected the established COMELEC checkpoints in the City of Baguio to ensure their compliance with the existing guidelines and policies under COMELEC Resolution No. 10924.
During the inspection, PBGEN PEREDO JR. was accompanied by PCOL RONALD V GAYO, the Deputy Regional Director for Operations (DRDO); PCOL FRANCISCO B BULWAYAN JR., the City Director of Baguio City Police Office (BCPO); PLTCOL JOLLY N NGAYA-AN, Assistant Chief of the Regional Operarions Division; PLTCOL RUEL TAGEL, Acting Force Commander RMFB15; PMAJ CANIPAS MANUEL, JR., the Unit Commander of BCPO Mobile Patrol Unit (MPU); Atty. From 11:40 PM on August 27, 2023, to 1:45 AM on August 28, 2023, PBGEN PEREDO JR., inspected the checkpoints of BCPO Marcos Highway Police Station 10 (PS10), headed by PMAJ JAMES ALLEN S DOGAO, the Station Commander; BCPO Legarda Police Station 5 (PS5), headed by PMAJ NIXON T BUDIKEY; BCPO Abanao Police Station 7 (PS7), headed by PMAJ LEE ALVIN B ALINAO, the Station Commander; and BCPO Camdas Police Station 2 (PS2), headed by PMAJ WILTZ KONRAD A SALLY, the Station Commander.
According to the reports of the Regional Operations Management Division, there are 91 PNP-COMELEC checkpoints established in the whole Cordillera.
