Chinese tourists caught taking photos in Palawan naval facility – report
What is the practical purpose for spying granting that that indeed was what the tourists were trying to do when, according to President Rodrigo Duterte, the weapon to be used by China against us is nuclear?

Of late, some Cabinet members including Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana have been noticeably very vocal about the not so friendly actions and behaviour of China.
I will only believe that these officials are not playacting when I hear President Duterte directing one expletive at China.

Senator Francis Tolentino’s ignorance and lack of preparation was exposed when Senator Franklin Drillon grilled him over his privilege speech defending the oral fish deal between President Duterte and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
In fairness to Tolentino, not even the best senators we ever had like the towering Claro Recto and Jose Diokno would have been able to defend the deal.

After the Iceland resolution won by a narrow vote, Duterte ranted against the country asking what’s its problem and how the people there eat ice.
The Icelanders have no problem. It is us who have a problem because our icelands are being taken away from us.

Anti-Duterte netizens were quick to point out that contrary to the notion borne of the name of the country that Iceland is covered by ice, only 11.1 percent actually is under ice.
Duterte could be correct — the Icelanders may have already eaten most of the ice uncovering the bulk of their land.

Apparently stung by criticisms that his non-confrontational stance towards China has weakened the position of the country relative to the territorial dispute, Duterte declared he is invoking the Mutual Defense Pact with the US and has called on that country to send its Seventh Fleet to face China saying he will join the naval force.
According to sources, if the US will heed his call, Duterte will finally fulfil his campaign promise to jetski to the WPS with the US Seventh Fleet serving as his escort.

Asked about his thoughts before the SONA, actor Philip Salvador complained that even while the President is doing everything he could for the country and the people, he was still being criticized. He ended his comments with this message: “Mamatay kayong lahat!”
Apparently, Salvador’s former lover Kris Aquino still does not want to die because in an unprecedented gesture, she praised Duterte for what she calls “authentic” SONA.**
