SAGADA. Four passengers were injured when a yellow Ford Fiera bearing plate number AAM 164 bumped the parapet of the road along the Sagada-Dantay road at Sitio Batalao, Barangay Antadao, Sagada, Mountain Province that transpired at about 5:10 AM of April 9, 2018, Araw ng Kagitingan.
Personnel of Sagada Municipal Police Station together with members of the Sagada Operators Drivers Association responded to the incident at about 5:35 AM of same day.
Investigation revealed that the vehicle driven by Langbay Dumalig Solang, 50 years old, and resident of Dagdag, Sagada with 14 passengers, allegedly incurred mechanical defect while traversing the said road. The driver lost control of the steering wheel and rammed a parapet.
Police report identified the four passengers who sustained injuries as Jenny Pera Corvera, single, of Trese Marterez, Cavite; Ahliza de Leon Brosas, married, 37, of Taytay, Rizal; Juan Magoling, single, 46, of Vizcaya and Juvy Rose Santos Barcenas, single, 36, of Las Pinas City.
The victims were brought to St. Theodore’s Hospital of Poblacion, Sagada for medical treatment. The driver is now under the custody of Sagada Municipal Police Station.** Ferdie Cariño Castañeda
